Everyone Counts closes $20 mln in funding

Everyone Counts said Tuesday it closed a $16 million mezzanine debt round and a $4 million equity round of funding. Falcon Investment Advisors LLC led the mezzanine debt portion while Draper Associates led the equity round. San Diego-based Everyone Counts provides software that aims to modernize global elections.


Fintech startup Karmic Labs raises $5 mln, Greycroft leads

San Francisco-based Karmic Labs, developer of a payment processing system, announced that it has raised a $5 million Series A round of funsing led by Greycroft Partners. Karmic Labs CEO and co-founder Ryan Weidenmiller told peHUB that other investors in the round include Trusted Ventures, Accelerator Ventures, Pipeline VC, Correlation Ventures and individual investor Iqram Magdon-Ismail.


Drone platform provider Skyward announces $4.1 mln seed expansion

SkyWard, a Portland, Ore.-based company that has developed a software management system for the dispatching, tracking and logging of commercial drone flights, announced it has raised a $4.1 million round in expansion seed from Draper Associates, Founders Co-Op, Norwest Venture Partners, Techstars Ventures, Verizon Ventures, and Voyager Capital. Voyager prevously led a $1.5 million seed round in July 2014, according to Thomson Reuters. David Famolari of Verizon Ventures and Ari Newman of Techstars Ventures were named observers on Skyward’s board of directors.


Graylog attracts $2.5 mln

Graylog Inc has closed $2.5 million in a funding round led by the Mercury Fund. The other investors were Crosslink Capital, Draper Associates and High-Tech Gründerfonds. Also, Graylog has appointed Aziz Gilani, a partner at the Mercury Fund, to its board of directors. Based in Houston, Texas and Hamburg, Germany, Graylog is an open source log analysis platform provider.


Sequoia leads $12 mln Series B funding in Rounds

Live communication platform Rounds has raised $12 million in Series B funding. Sequoia Capital led the round with participation from other investors that included Samsung Ventures, Verizon Ventures, Rhodium and Draper Associates. According to the firm, the capital infusion will be used for growth and expansion.


Mobile payments startup Kash collects $2 mln seed

San Francisco-based mobile payments startup Kash Corp. has secured $2 million in seed funding. The investors included Draper Associates, Green Visor Capital and Structure Capital. According to the company, the capital infusion will be used for product development, marketing and expansion.

Enevo grabs $8 mln

Enevo said Thursday that it has raised $8 million in funding. The investors included Earlybird, Lifeline Ventures, Finnish Industry Investment and Draper Associates. Based in Espoo, Finland and Boston, Enevo is a provider of trash bin sensors.


Parking app SpotHero nabs $4.5 mln Series A

SpotHero has closed $4.5 million in Series A funding. The investors included Chicago Ventures, Bullpen Capital, Battery Ventures, OCA Ventures, Pritzker Group Venture Capital, Lightbank, G2T3V, e.ventures, Draper Associates and 500 Startups. In conjunction with the funding, Mike Gamson of LinkedIn has been added to SpotHero’s board of directors. Headquartered in Chicago, SpotHero is an on-demand parking app.

FundersClub Raises Significant Seed Round

FundersClub, a marketplace for private investing, has closed a significant round of seed funding. Investors in the round included First Round Capital, Y Combinator, Draper Associates, Felicis Ventures, Spark Capital, Digital Garage, Intel Capital, Y Combinator-affiliated funds (Andreessen Horowitz, Start Fund, SV Angel, and General Catalyst Partners), Investmon Sarl, NetPrice, Global Venture Alliance and Plug and Play Tech Center.

TrackVia Raises $7.1M From Longworth, Fairhaven, Access, Flywheel, Others

TrackVia said it raised $7.1 million in a fundraising round led by Longworth Venture Partners and Fairhaven Capital, and joined by Access Venture Partners, Flywheel Ventures, Draper Associates and Allen & Company. The funds will go to expand sales, marketing and engineering operations at the applications development services company.

Aerospike Raises Series B From NEA, Draper Assoc., Alsop Louie

Aerospike said it raised a Series B round of funding led by New Enterprise Associates and joined by existing investors Draper Associates and Alsop Louie Partners. Lightbank Backs Cloudbot

Chicago-based Lightbank, the venture firm started by Groupon co-founders Eric Lefkofsky and Brad Keywell, is among those backing Cloudbot in a recent venture round. The startup develops a mobile and web app designed to aggregate a person’s online presence into a single interface. Draper Associates and Hyde Park Angels also contributed to the financing. The amount of funding was not disclosed.
