E-commerce site Jet raises $140 mln

Stealth e-commerce startup Jet announced it has raise $140 million in new funding led by Bain Capital Ventures. Also participating in the round are Accel Partners, Coatue Management, General Catalyst Partners, Goldman Sachs, Google Ventures, MentorTech Ventures, New Enterprise Associates, Norwest Venture Partners, Silicon Valley Bank, Temasek, Thrive Capital and others.


South Korean online retailer Coupang racks up $300 mln

South Korean online retailer Coupang has raised $300 million in funding. BlackRock Private Equity Partners led the round with participation from Wellington Management Company, Greenoaks Capital Management and Rose Park Advisors. According to the company, the capital will be used for product development and personnel hirings.


P.S. XO merges with Seedling, raises $7 mln

P.S. XO, an e-commerce company co-founded by actress Soleil Moon Frye, has merged with toy and craft brand Seedling. The combined company, which will be known as Seedling, has also raised $7 million in new funding from Upfront Ventures and Greycroft Partners. In addition to the funding, Kara Nortman, a co-founder of P.S. XO, has been added to Seedling’s board and will serve as its chair.


Ron Johnson’s e-commerce startup Enjoy snags $30 mln

According to an announcement on its site, Enjoy, an e-commerce startup founded by former JC Penney CEO Ron Johnson, has received $30 million in overall funding. Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Oak Investment Partners led the latest round with participation from Andreessen Horowitz. Enjoy will launch in 2015. Nosto Solutions picks up $5.5 mln

Finnish e-commerce software firm Nosto Solutions said Tuesday that it has closed $5.5 million in funding. Wellington Partners led the round with participation from Open Ocean Capital, SanomaVentures and Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation.


Runa Capital and iTech Capital back Ecwid

Ecwid has raised $5 million in Series B funding. The lead investor was iTech Capital. Runa Capital also participated in the round. Based in Dallas and Russia, Ecwid is an e-commerce platform that allows SMBs to create professional online stores and embed them into any site in minutes.
