Egnyte raises $29.5 mln in oversubscribed round

File sharing service provider Egnyte announced it raised $29.5 million in an oversubscribed Series D round of funding. Investors include Northgate Capital Group, strategic partners Seagate Technology and CenturyLink, as well as existing investors Google Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Polaris Partners. The Mountain View, Calif.-based company, which said it was looking to raise $25 million in the Series D, has now raised $62.5 million in total funding. CEO Vineet Jain told peHUB during a reception Tuesday night that it is considering an IPO in 2015.

Egnyte Raises $6 Million

Egnyte, a Mountain View, Calif.-based provider of on-demand file server solutions, has raised $6 million in Series A funding. Polaris Venture Partners led the round, and was joined by seed backer Maples Investments.
