LED lighting company Terralux nabs $11 mln

Longmont, Colorado-based Terralux, a maker of LED lighting, has received $11 million in funding. EnerTech Capital led the round with participation from other investors that included Generation Investment Management, Crawley Ventures, Emerald Technology Ventures and GC&H Investments.

P97 Networks picks up $8 mln Series A

Mobile commerce platform P97 Networks has raised $8 million in Series A funding. Emerald Technology Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included American Trading and Production Corp. In addition to the funding, Charles Vaslet, a partner at Emerald Technology Ventures, has been added to P97’s board of directors. Pharus Advisors advised P97 on the transaction.


Emerald Technology Ventures backs Optimatics

Optimatics has received venture funding in a round led by Emerald Technology Ventures. No financial terms were disclosed.  In addition to the financing, Dr. Helge Daebel, an investment director at Emerald, has been appointed to Optimatics’ board of directors. Based in Kansas City and Australia, Optimatics is a provider of infrastructure planning software.


EnterTech Capital and Emerald Technology Ventures Back GDI

GeoDigital International said Wednesday that it has secured an undisclosed amount of funding. EnerTech Capital and Emerald Technology Ventures led the round with participation from previous backers that include NGP Energy Technology Partners and North Sky Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Scott Ungerer, managing director of EnerTech Capital, will join GDI’s board of directors. Headquartered in Hamilton, Ontario, GDI is a provider of next-generation 4D geospatial imaging and business intelligence solutions.

Crosslink Leads $16M for SynapSense

SynapSense Corp., a maker of data center infrastructure management products, has closed on $16 million in Series C financing led by Crosslink Capital. Aeris Capital, Emerald Technology Ventures, GE Energy Financial Services, Nth Power, Robert Bosch Venture Capital and Sequoia Capital also joined in the round. The money will help SynapSense expand. Louis DiNardo, a partner with Crosslink Capital, joined the SynapSense board as a result of the round.

Azzurro Semiconductors Wins $19.3 Million In Funding To Make Wafers Used In LED Lighting

More money is flowing into the German cleantech industry. Magdeburg based Azzurro Semiconductor AG said Wednesday it raised $19.3 million in funding from a group of international cleantech investors. Emerald Tech Ventures Nears Third Fund Close

Emerald Technology Ventures, a Zurich-based VC firm focused on cleantech investments, is nearing a first close on its third fund, according to Green Energy Reporter. Whitney Rockley has joined cleantech-focused Emerald Technology Ventures as a general partner. She previously was a partner with Nomura New Energy & Clean Technology Ventures. Emerald also announced that it has promoted Charles Vaslet to partner.
