Ensign Natural Resources LLC, which is backed by Warburg Pincus and Kayne Anderson, has acquired Eagle Ford acreage in South Texas from Pioneer Natural Resources USA Inc. No financial terms were disclosed. BMO Capital Markets was financial adviser to Ensign while Kirkland & Ellis LLP provided legal counsel.
Offen Petroleum, which is backed by Lariat Partners, has agreed to acquire the business assets of Arizona-based Allied Energy, a fuel distributor. No financial terms were disclosed.
A CSL Capital-led group has acquired Weatherford's laboratory services business for $206 million. Carlyle helped provide the financing for the acquisition.
MPC Capital has acquired Tilawind, a wind farm in Costa Rica. The price of the acquisition was about $50 million.
GenServe LLC, a portfolio company of GenNx360 Capital Partners, has acquired Yonkers, New York-based Power Performance Industries, a provider of maintenance and repair services to industrial generators and backup power solutions, as well as generator and equipment sales and rentals. No financial terms were disclosed.
Seacoast Capital has exited its investment in Stone Road, a New England regional provider of commercial and residential heating oil and propane. No financial terms were disclosed.
Starwood Energy Group Global LLC has agreed to acquire two power plants from Calpine Corporation. No financial terms were disclosed. The plants are located in Delaware and Wisconsin. The deal is expected to close in the middle of the year. King & Spalding LLP served as legal counsel to Starwood while White & Case was legal counsel to Calpine.
Texas-based Layne Water Midstream Holdings, a water midstream business, has secured $200 million in funding. The lead investors were Post Oak Capital LP and Genesis Park LLC.
CREO, a New York City-based network of family offices and institutional investor Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, have teamed up to invest in a sustainable economy. No financial terms were disclosed.
Crestwood has acquired a 50 percent stake in Jackalope Gas Gathering Services LLC from Williams for approximately $485 million. Based in Converse County, Wyoming, the Jackalope assets provide gathering, compression and processing services and include the Jackalope Gas Gathering System and the Bucking Horse Processing Plant. Evercore acted as financial adviser to Crestwood with Vinson & Elkins providing legal counsel.
