Ontario Power Generation has closed its previously announced buyout of Cube Hydro Partners, a Bethesda, Maryland-based operator of small and medium-sized hydropower facilities in the northeast and southeast U.S. The seller was I Squared Capital. No financial terms were disclosed; however, a previous news item on this transaction pegged the value of the deal at $1.48 billion. Goldman Sachs was financial adviser to OPG on the transaction while Centerview Partners did likewise for I Squared Capital.
Tailwater Capital has invested over $500 million into Goodnight Midstream. Dallas-based Goodnight is a produced water midstream infrastructure company.
Shah Capital has agreed to invest $11 million in ReneSola, a solar project developer. In addition to the investment, Ke Chen and Kaiheng Feng have joined ReneSola's board of directors.
TPG has called off its deal to buy Goodnight Midstream for $930 million, Bloomberg is reporting. TPG ended the deal because Goodnight was unable to satisfy certain closing condition, the story said. Dallas-based Goodnight Midstream provides oilfield water infrastructure to oil and gas producers.
Houston-based Broad Reach Power, a utility-scale storage independent power producer, has launched. EnCap Investments LP and Yorktown Partners are backing Broad Reach Power. No financial terms were disclosed.
Kodiak Gas Services, a portfolio company of EQT Infrastructure, has agreed to acquire Pegasus from Apollo Global Management. No financial terms were disclosed. Texas-based Pegasus is a provider of contract compression and related services for the oil and gas industry in North America.
Ardian has acquired a 49 percent stake in in two photovoltaic plants n southern Peru from Solarpack. No financial terms were disclosed.
Tailwater Capital LLC has provided $150 million to Triten Energy Partners. Based in Houston, Triten will develop and acquire downstream facilities related to producing valuable fuels and chemicals for the refined products and petrochemical sectors. Managing Partner Jason Arnoldy is leading Triten.
Albireo Energy, which backed by Huron Capital, has acquired Deer Park, New York-based Environmental Energy Corp, a provider of energy management systems for large commercial and higher education buildings. No financial terms were disclosed.
The Blood Tribe and Indigena Capital LP have made an investment in Kainai Forage LP, Blood Tribe's on-reserve forage processing and export business. No financial terms were disclosed. Located approximately south of Calgary, Alberta, the Blood Tribe has the largest reserve in Canada.
