HopSkipDrive, a ride service for children, has raised $10.2 million in Series A funding. FirstMark Capital led the round with participation from Greycroft Partners, Pritzker Group Venture Capital, Upfront Ventures, BBG Ventures and 1776. In addition to the funding, the company has named Eyal Gutentag as chief operations officer. Gutentag is a former general manager of Uber in Los Angeles.

FTV Capital leads $42 mln round for NewsCred

FTV Capital led the round with participation from previous backers FirstMark Capital, InterWest Partners and Mayfield Fund. Costanoa leads $11.23 mln Series B funding in ChatID

Costanoa Venture Capital led an $11.23 million Series B funding round in SaaS platform ChatID, bringing the company’s total funding to $19.2 million. ChatID raised a $2 million seed funding round, and a $6 million Series A funding round led by FirstMark Capital and Mack Capital in March 2014. Neill Occhiogrosso, partner at Costanoa, will join ChatID’s board.

New York City-based educational tech company Schoology has named Norman Weissberg as chief revenue officer, Melton Littlepage as chief marketing officer and Michael Brinkman as chief technology officer. Prior to joining Schoology, Weissberg worked at Vocus, Littlepage was at Concur and Brinkman worked at Spredfast. Schoology’s backers include Intel Capital, Great Oaks Venture Capital, Great Road Holdings, FirstMark Capital and Meakem Becker Venture Capital.

InVision, a New York-based provider of a cloud-based collaborative platform for product designers, has raised $45 million in Series C financing. Accel led the round and was joined by existing investors FirstMark Capital and Tiger Global. As part of the round, Vas Natarajan, a partner at Accel, has joined the board. The company has now raised $80 million in funding.
