Zagster nets $3.5 mln Series A

Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Zagster, a provider of private and public-private bike sharing systems, has secured $3.5 million in Series A funding. The investors included LaunchCapital, Fontinalis Partners, Clean Energy Venture Group, LaunchPad Venture Group and Otter Consulting.

Coutinho joins ParkMe

ParkMe said Wednesday that it hired Mario Coutinho as GM of South American Operations. Coutinho previously was MultiPark’s head of marketing. Santa Monica, California-based ParkMe provides real-time parking data to navigation companies and consumers. ParkMe is backed by investors including Fontinalis Partners, IDG Ventures and Angeleno Group.


Fontinalis invests in Telogix

Fontinalis Partners said Wednesday it invested in Telogis. Financial terms weren’t announced. Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based Telogis provides cloud-based software products and services for companies with mobile workers, vehicles and other mobile assets.


Streetline nabs $10 mln

Streetline, a smart parking company headquartered in Foster City, Calif., said Tuesday that it has raised $10 million in funding. The firm’s backers include Citi, Fontinalis Partners, RockPort Capital Partners, Sutter Hill Ventures, True Ventures and Qualcomm Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Streetline has appointed Abe Yokell to its board of directors.


ADT invests in VC-backed Life360 app

Security provider ADT has acquired a minority stake in Life360 for $25 million. Also, ADT is leading a $50 million Series C round for Life360, a location and communication app for families. Life360’s backers include Duchossois Capital Partners, DCM, Fontinalis Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners and Expansion Venture Capital.

VC-backed QuickPay buys Nautical Technologies from ANAi Global

QuickPay Corp. has acquired Nautical Technologies, the parking, transit and tolling tech division of ANAi Global. No financial terms were disclosed. The merged company will now be known as LocoMobi, Inc. Headquartered in Ontario, Nautical Technologies is a parking management solutions provider. QuickPay is backed by A16Z Seed, Advanced Technology Ventures, Ecomobilite Ventures, IncWell and Fontinalis Partners.


ParkMe hires new CFO

ParkMe has hired Daniel Yukelson as chief financial officer. Previously, Yukelson worked at Premiere Radio Networks where he served as executive vice president and CFO. Based in Santa Monica, Calif., ParkMe is an online parking reservations platform. Its backers include Fontinalis Partners, IDG Ventures and Angeleno Group.

ParkMe and Amano McGann Join Forces: CORRECTED

ParkMe, a leading provider of real-time parking information to navigation companies and consumers and Amano McGann, a provider of off-street parking automation in the US, have merged entered into a partnership. Angeleno Group, Fontinalis Partners and IDG Ventures are previous investors of ParkMe.

Masabi Secures Funding, Opens New York Office and Hires VP

Masabi, a mobile ticketing and agile fare collection business, has secured $2.8 million in funding from Detroit-based Fontinalis Partners, London-based MMC Ventures and existing investor m8 Capital. The company has also opened a New York office and has hired Josh Robin as vice president of strategy and business development for North American operations.

Parkmobile Closes $6.3m Financing

Parkmobile, a provider of mobile payment solutions to municipalities and parking providers around the world, has closed a $6.3 million financing. The round was led by its current investors BCD Holdings, Parkmobile Group, Fontinalis Partners and Bluefield Investments.

Zipcar Leads Series A For Wheelz

Publicly traded Zipcar Inc. is leading a $13.7 million Series A round for peer-to-peer car sharing company Wheelz Inc. Palo Alto, Calif.-based Wheelz targets college campus communities. Santa Monica, Calif.-based Parking in Motion has raised an undisclosed amount of Series A financing from IDG Ventures and Fontinalis Partners. The company has developed a real-time parking database designed for automobile navigation systems, mobile phones, tablet devices and other data aggregators.
