New Relic announced it has acquired San Francisco-based Opsmatic, which provides a DevOps monitoring tool. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Opsmatic has raised more than $3.25 million in seed-stage funding, according to data from Thomson Reuters. Airtable pulls in $7.6 mln

Database provider Airtable has secured $7.6 million in funding, the company announced in a blog post on its site. CRV led the round with participation from Caffeinated Capital, Crunchfund, Data Collective, Founder Collective and Freestyle Capital. Other investors included Brennan O’Donnell, vice president of sales and customer success at SurveyMonkey; Ilya Sukhar, founder of Parse and director of product management at Facebook; Othman Laraki, co-founder of Color Genommics; and Joshua Reeves, CEO and co-founder of ZenPayroll. In addition to the funding, Francis Larkin has been named vice president of growth.


Fantasy sports platform AlphaDraft picks up $5 mln

Los Angeles-based daily fantasy sports platform AlphaDraft has raised $5 million in funding. Metamorphic Ventures led the round with participation from WME, Upfront Ventures, IDG Ventures, Amplify.LA, KEC Ventures, Freestyle Capital, Gokul Rajaram, SK Ventures, Basset Investment Group, Greycroft Partners, Melo7 Tech Partners and former NBA Commissioner David Stern.


Dog walking app Wag! grabs $2.45 mln seed

According to the company, the capital infusion will be used for market expansion and product development.

San Francisco savings start-up Digit nabs $2.5 mln

Digit has raised $2.5 million in seed funding, the firm announced in a blog post on its site. Baseline Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included Freestyle Capital, Upside Partnership, Google Ventures, Operative Capital, Garry Tan and Alexis Ohanian. Also, Digit has named Dan Manges, Randy Reddig, Sharda Caro-del-Castillo and Tom Brown as advisors. Based in San Francisco, Digit is a service that automates people’s savings. San Francisco-based ApplePie Capital, a provider of a marketplace lending platform for franchise entrepreneurs, announced its launch today and disclosed that it has raised $3.77 million in funding. Investors include Freestyle Capital, QED Investors, Signia Venture Partners and angel investors. The company, which was founded in 2013, said it raised the funding in July 2014.
