RRE Ventures, Eniac lead $2.2 mln round for Brightwheel

Brightwheel said Wednesday that it raised $2.2 million in seed funding led by RRE Ventures and Eniac Ventures. CrossLink Capital, Golden Venture Partners, Red Swan Ventures and Sherpa Ventures also participated. San Francisco-based Brightwheel provides a mobile SAAS platform for early education providers, including daycare, preschool, and afterschool programs.


Yesware nabs $13.3 mln

Yesware has raised $13.3 million in funding, the company announced in a blog post on its site. Foundry Group led the round with participation from Battery Ventures, Google Ventures, Golden Venture Partners and IDG Ventures. Based in Boston and San Francisco, Yesware is an all-in-one sales acceleration platform for salespeople.



OMsignal grabs $10 mln Series A led by BVP

OMsignal has received $10 million in Series A funding. Bessemer Venture Partners led the round with participation from Real Ventures, Mistral Venture Partners, Golden Venture Partners, Techstars‘ managing partner David Cohen, Flextronics and Primera Capital. In addition to the funding, Rob Stavis of BVP and Ori Sasson of Primera Capital will join OMsignal’s board of directors. Based in Montreal, OMsignal is a provider of smart clothing technology.

Yesware secures series B led by Battery Ventures

Yesware has secured $13.5 million in series B funding. The round was led by Battery Ventures, with existing investors Google Ventures, Foundry Group, IDG Ventures, and Golden Venture Partners all participating. In total, Yesware raised $18.5 million.

Smart Apparel Startup OMsignal Gets $1M in Seed Funding

Montréal-based OMsignal Inc., a startup company which develops bio-sensing clothing that connects with mobile devices, has obtained a $1 million seed-stage round of financing. The deal involved Canadian venture capital firms Real Ventures and Golden Venture Partners, as well as TechStars CEO David Cohen. OMsignal said it would open its apparel platform to external parties this summer.

Union Square Ventures Backs Wattpad

Wattpad, an online community for telling and reading stories, has raised $3.5 million in venture financing from investors including New York-based Union Square Ventures. Toronto-based Wattpad is also backed by Golden Venture Partners out of Toronto.
