Fastback Networks pulls in $15 mln Series C

San Jose, California-based infrastructure firm Fastback Networks has received $15 million in Series C funding. Harmony Partners led the round with participation from return backers Foundation Capital, Granite Ventures, Juniper Networks and Matrix Partners.


Marketing automation startup OutboundEngine raises $11 mln

OutboundEngine, which provides email and social media marketing services for small businesses, has raised an $11 million Series B round that was led by Silverton Partners. Also participating in the round are Noro-Moseley Partners, Harmony Partners, Altos Ventures and Capital Factory. The Austin, Texas-based company has now raised $17.5 million in total funding.


Harmony Partners closes $85 mln for second fund

Harmony Partners has raised $85 million for its oversubscribed second fund, beating its $75 million target. Fund II, which has made investments in Capriza, Loggly and Zerto, will continue to back expansion stage companies. Also, Harmony has added Michael Chou as a principal to its team.


Capriza nets $27 mln Series C

Capriza has raised $27 million in Series C funding. The investors were Andreessen Horowitz, Charles River Ventures, Tenaya Capital. Harmony Partners and Allen & Company. Headquartered in Palo Alto, Calif., Capriza is an enterprise mobility platform provider.


Loggly nets $15 mln in round led by Harmony Partners

Loggly has closed $15 million in Series C financing. Harmony Partners led the with participation from return backers Matrix Partners, Trinity Ventures, Cisco, Data Collective and True Ventures. Based in San Francisco, Loggly is a provider of log management solutions.

Smartling names CFO

Smartling has hired Adi Dehejia as chief financial officer. Previously, Dehejia was the CFO for Rhapsody International. Based in New York City, Smartling is a provider of cloud-based translation software solutions. It is backed by Tenaya Capital, First Round Capital, IDG Ventures, U.S. Venture Partners, Venrock and Harmony Partners.


Zerto raises $26 mln Series D led by Harmony

Zerto has raised $26 million in Series D financing. New investor Harmony Partners led the financing, with participation from all current investors – Battery Ventures, Greylock IL, RTP Ventures and U.S. Venture Partners. Zerto has developed a software-based platform for workload mobility, migration, protection and recovery in hybrid-cloud environments.


Smartling closes $25 mln funding

Smartling has closed a $25 million series D round of funding, led by ICONIQ Capital. Smartling’s prior investors also participated including First Round Capital, Harmony Partners, IDG Ventures, Tenaya Capital, U.S. Venture Partners and Venrock.


EMC’s Aveksa Buy a Score for CRV

Charles River Ventures and other backers scored a positive return with Aveksa, an identity management software provider acquired by EMC today in a deal reportedly valued at north of $200 million.

IT Security Sales Veteran Joins Vaultive

Vaultive, a provider of cloud data encryption solutions has appointed Shelley Vereen as vice president of sales. Vaultive has raised more than $10 million from venture capital firms including .406 Ventures, New Science Partners, Harmony Partners and Security Growth Partners.

CrowdFlower Adds $7M in New VC

San Francisco-based CrowdFlower, a provider of on-demand crowd-sourced technology, has raised $7 million in a Series B financing round. Harmony Partners led the round, with participation from existing investors Trinity Ventures and Bessemer Venture Partners. CrowdFlower has now raised more than $13 million in venture financing.
