PE-owned Hearthside makes two acquisitions

Hearthside Food Solutions, which is owned by Goldman Sachs and Vestar Capital Partners, is buying VSI, a European provider of nutrition, diet and functional bars. Also, in a separate deal, Hearthside is acquiring a nutritional supplement bar production facility in Boise, Idaho from a Post Holdings subsidiary. No financial terms were disclosed for either transaction.


Goldman, Vestar to buy Hearthside Food from Wind Point Partners

Wind Point Partners has agreed to sell Hearthside Food Solutions to Goldman Sachs and Vestar Capital. Financial terms weren’t announced. Downers Grove, Ill.-based Hearthside Food is an independent bakery and a full service contract manufacturer of grain-based food and snack products. Barclays provided financial advice to Wind Point Partners and Hearthside Food Solutions.

Wind Point Recaps Hearthside Food with $400 Mln GE Antares Loan

GE Antares, a unit of GE Capital, said Monday it is providing a $400 million credit facility that is part of Wind Point Partners recap of Hearthside Food Solutions. Hearthside Acquires Roskam Granola Business

Hearthside Food Solutions, a large, privately held bakery, has acquired Roskam Granola, a co-manufacturing business that produces granola base and range of products, including bars, mixes, and granola nut clusters.
