Actility snags $25 mln

Paris-based Actility, a network solutions and managed information systems provider for the internet of things sector, has raised $25 million in funding. Ginko Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included KPN, Orange, Swisscom, Foxconn, Fonds Ecotechnologies managed by Bpifrance Investissement, Idinvest Partners and Truffle Capital.

Kantox raises $10.9 mln

Partech Ventures said Wednesday it co-led a 10 million Euro (US$10.9 mln) financing round for Kantox. IDinvest Partners also participated. London-based Kantox provides foreign exchange services for SMEs and mid-cap companies.

Idinvest Partners backs French presentation tool Bunkr

Leosphere closes second tranche from Electranova Capital

Leosphere has finalized the second tranche of a 20 million euro equity transaction. The second tranche was closed with Electranova Capital, the venture capital fund managed by Idinvest Partners and sponsored by EDF. Leosphere is a laser radar remote sensors business.

Idinvest Partners closes second secondary vehicle

European private equity investor Idinvest Partners has closed its second fund aimed at secondary deals. Idinvest Secondary Fund II will follow its predecessor fund by focusing on mature secondary transactions in the European small and mid-market.

Electranova Capital and Total Energy Ventures invest in Sunfire

Electranova Capital, a cleantech venture capital fund managed by Idinvest Partners and sponsored by EDF, has backed German company Sunfire. Total Energy Ventures is also participating in this new round. Sunfire develops high temperature fuel cells which convert gas into electricity and heat.

Kantox secures Series A

Kantox has secured Series A funding. Partech Ventures and Idinvest Partners led the funding round alongside existing investor Cabiedes & Partners.

Investor Group to buy CEBTP in Buyout Deal

A group of investors led by Siparex has offered to buy Groupe CEBTP alongside management with CEO Philippe Margarit. The approval of the sale by the French competition authorities is expected in 3Q 2013. Siparex put together an investor pool with Cathay Capital, Bpifrance Investissement and BNP Paribas Développement for purchasing all the capital of Groupe CEBTP from the Dutch group, Grontmij. The transaction is also partly financed by mezzanine debt, arranged by Idinvest Partners.

Crocus Technology Secures $45m Series D

Crocus Technology, a developer of magnetically enhanced semiconductor technologies for mobile security, embedded microcontrollers, harsh environment electronics and magnetic sensors, has raised 34 million euros ($45 million) in additional capital. A new private investor, Industrial Investors, joined the round led by Idinvest Partners. Major investors Sofinnova Ventures, Innovation Capital, Nanodimension and Ventech also participated.

Scality Lands $22 Million, Led by Menlo Ventures and Iris Capital

Scality, a San Francisco-based startup that is focused on large-scale storage management, has closed on $22 million in Series C funding, bringing its total capital raised to $35 million. Menlo Ventures and Iris Capital led the round, which included participation from FSN PME and existing investors Idinvest Partners, OMNES Capital, and Galileo Partners.

Idinvest Partners Closes Senior Debt Fund

Idinvest Partners has closed its most recent senior debt vehicle on 281 million euros (£240.8 million). The fund named Idinvest Dette Senior has exceeded its initial target of 250 million euros.

Electranova Capital Invests in Forsee Power

Electranova Capital, a fund managed by Idinvest Partners in association with EDF, has backed Forsee Power Solutions. Founded in 2011, Forsee Power Solutions specializes in integration which entails designing, developing and assembling battery systems.

Idinvest Partners Announces Interim Close

Pan-European private equity firm Idinvest Partners has announced an interim close on its latest senior debt vehicle at 205 million euros ($266 million). The fund expects to reach a final close by the end of June 2013.

Genticel Inks Over $20m Led by Wellington

Genticel, a biopharmaceutical company developing innovative vaccines for patients infected with human papillomavirus (HPV), has raised 18.2 million euros ($23.7 million) in additional capital. Wellington Partners led the round which included all current institutional investors IDInvest Partners, Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partners (EdRIP), InnoBio fund*, IRDI and Amundi Private Equity Funds.
