IOP invests in Coldwater Veneer

Industrial Opportunity Partners said Wednesday it has acquired the assets of Coldwater Veneer Inc. and its subsidiary West Point Veneer LLC. Financial terms weren’t announced. Coldwater, of Coldwater, Michigan, makes specialty hardwood veneer for end markets such as building products, furniture, home furnishings and automotive markets. PNC Business Credit and MB Financial provided financing.

Industrial Opportunity Partners has made an undisclosed investment in Monroe Truck Equipment Inc. The transaction was done with Monroe’s current management team and owners. Business Credit, Fifth Third Bank and Norwest Mezzanine Partners provided funding for the deal. Based in Monroe, Wisconsin, Monroe is a maker and distributor of truck equipment for the municipal and commercial sectors.

The divestiture represents IOP’s fifth investment realization from its initial $185 million committed fund. E.B. Bradley is a West Coast distributor of cabinet hardware, laminates and surfacing products, board products, edgebanding, and woodworking supplies, as well as a manufacturer of laminated panels, serving the commercial construction and residential renovation markets.
