Milestone Pharma raises $17 mln

Milestone Pharmaceuticals Inc. said Monday that it closed a $17 million series B financing led by Domain Associates. All of Milestone’s existing investors including Fonds de solidarité FTQ , Pappas Ventures, BDC Capital, GO Capital and iNovia Capital participated in the round. Montreal-based Milestone Pharma is a clinical stage cardiovascular company.

Canada-based Milestone Pharmaceuticals, a drug developer focused on cardiovascular diseases, has raised $17 million in Series B funding. Domain Associates led the round with participation from other investors that included Fonds de solidarité FTQ, Pappas Ventures, BDC Capital, GO Capital and iNovia Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Domain’s Debra Liebert has been added to Milestone’s board of directors.

New York City-based TripleLift, a programmatic native advertising platform, has raised $10.5 million in Series B funding. Edison Partners led the round with participation from return backers iNovia Capital, Laconia Capital and NextView Ventures. Kitchener, Ontario-based Vidyard, a provider of video marketing and sales enablement solutions, has received $18 million in Series B funding. Bessemer Venture Partners led the round with participation from return backers iNovia Capital, OMERS Ventures, Salesforce Ventures and SoftTech VC. In conjunction with the funding, Byron Deeter, a partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, has been added to Vidyard’s board of directors.

iNovia Capital leads $3.3 mln funding round in Routehappy

iNovia Capital has led a $3.3 million funding round in Routehappy, which provides the air travel industry with data and tools to improve flight shopping. Other investors participating in the funding round include PAR Capital Ventures, Buddy Media founder Mike Lazerow and industry veterans Seth Brody, David Sandberg and Porter Gale. Existing investors High Peaks Venture Partners, Contour Venture Partners and Vocap Investment Partners also participated.

LightSpeed racks up $35 mln

LightSpeed, a commerce platform for retailers, said Wednesday that it has secured $35 million in funding. iNovia Capital and return backer Accel Partners led the round.

Busbud snags $9 mln Series A

Allocadia Software has raised $7 million in Series A financing. Altos Ventures and iNovia Capital led the round with participation from other investors that included Illuminate Ventures and Beehive Holdings. According to the firm, the capital infusion will be used for growth. In addition to the funding, Anthony Lee, a partner at Altos Ventures and Kevin Swan, a partner at iNovia Capital, have been added to Allocadia’s board. Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Allocadia is a provider of marketing performance management cloud solutions.

WorkFusion snags $15 mln Series B funds

WorkFusion, formerly known as CrowdComputing Systems, said Tuesday that it has received $15 million in Series B funding. Mohr Davidow Ventures led the round with participation from previous backers Greycroft Partners, iNovia Capital and RTP Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Katherine Barr, a general partner at Mohr Davidow Ventures, will join the company’s board of directors. Headquartered in New York City, WorkFusion is a crowd computing platform.

New backer Mithril Capital Management led the round with participation from previous investors that include iNovia Capital and Foundry Group. In addition to the funding, Ajay Royan of Mithril has been added to AppDirect’s board of directors. Based in San Francisco, AppDirect is a cloud service marketplace.

Intel completes VC-backed Basis Science acquisition

Intel has closed its buy of Basis Science. No financial terms were disclosed. Headquartered in San Francisco, Basis is a wearable device tech company that focuses on health and wellness. Its backers included Norwest Venture Partners, Doll Capital Management, iNovia Capital, Peninsula Ventures and Mayfield Fund.

BASIS Science secures further Series B funds

BASIS Science has raised a further $11.75 million in Series B funding. The round included investments from Intel Capital, iNovia Capital, Dolby Family Trust, Stanford University and Peninsula-KCG. Existing investors Mayfield Fund, DCM and Norwest Venture Partners, also participated. This new investment represents the close of the Basis Series B financing, which now totals over $23 million.

Busbud Raises $1M From iNovia & Real Ventures

Busbud said it raised $1 million in a deal co-led by iNovia Capital and Real Ventures. Busbud’s website and free mobile application give travelers access to intercity bus travel information and ticket purchases.
