Irving Place Capital completes OTC acquisition

Irving Place Capital has closed its buy of Ohio Transmission Corp. No financial terms were disclosed. In addition to the funding, Carlos Cardoso, former CEO of Kennametal and senior advisor at IPC, has been added to OTC’s board of directors. Based in Columbus, Ohio, OTC is a provider of engineered motion control, pump and air compressor products.


Galvin named Irving Place Senior Advisor

Irving Place Capital said Thursday that it named Walter J. Galvin a Senior Advisor. Galvin previously spent 40 years with Emerson Electric Co., serving in a variety of senior executive roles, including CFO and Vice Chairman.


PE-backed National Surgical Healthcare pulls in $52.5 mln

Franklin Square Capital Partners has provided $52.5 million in financing to National Surgical Healthcare, which owns and operates surgical hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers in the U.S. The capital infusion is backing NSH’s acquisition of a majority stake in Optim Healthcare, a provider of healthcare services. NSH is backed by Irving Place Capital.


IPC completes Bendon acquisition

Irving Place Capital has closed its buy of Ashland, Ohio-based Bendon Inc, a provider of children’s coloring and activity products. The seller was The Wicks Group. No financial terms were disclosed. Robert W. Baird & Company provided financial advice to Wicks on the transaction.


Leonard named CEO Of Universal Hospital Services

Universal Hospital Services Inc. said Monday that Thomas J. Leonard was named CEO and a member of the board effective April 13. Leonard most recently served as the President of Medical Systems for CareFusion Corp. Universal Hospital is a portfolio company of Irving Place Capital.


Two Irving Place Capital vets form new healthcare PE firm

Robert Juneja and Bret Bowerman have launched Harbour Point Capital, a new healthcare-focused private equity firm. The firm will be based in New York City. Juneja and Bowerman have worked at Irving Place Capital where they will become senior advisors.

Irving Place Capital to sell Victor Technologies

Private equity firm Irving Place Capital is to sell Victor Technologies to Colfax Corporation, a global manufacturer of gas- and fluid-handling and fabrication technology products. Headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, Victor Technologies provides superior solutions for cutting, gas control, and specialty welding equipment. The all cash transaction values Victor at approximately $947 million.

Mold-Rite Plastics Acquires Stull Technologies

Mold-Rite Plastics, a manufacturer of rigid plastic packaging products, has acquired Stull Technologies, a New Jersey-based manufacturer of dispensing closures, caps, lids, and packaging components. Mold-Rite Plastics is owned by private equity firm Irving Place Capital.
