Javelin Venture leads $7 mln funding in Vacatia

Javelin Venture Partners has led a $7 million funding in Vacatia, a resort marketplace for vacationers. The company will use the funding to build out its service, geographic expansion and recruitment. The company promoted Caroline Shin, chief operating officer, to chief executive officer. Noah Doyle, from Javelin, will join Vacatia’s board of directors.

Seismos pulls in $4 mln

Austin, Texas-based Seismos Inc, a provider of real-time subsurface fluid flow monitoring for oil and gas production optimization, has received about $4 million in funding. Javelin Venture Partners led the round with participation from other investors that included Osage University Partners. Also, Noah Doyle, a general partner at Javelin Venture Partners, has been added to the Seismos board of directors.

Kitchit cooks up $7.5 mln Series A

San Francisco-based Kitchit, which offers chef-made meals at home, has received $7.5 million in Series A funding. Javelin Venture Partners led the round. In conjunction with the funding, Alex Gurevich and Noah Doyle of Javelin Venture Partners have been added to Kitchit’s board of directors.

Boost Media fetches $19 mln Series C

San Francisco-based Boost Media, a provider of creative optimization marketing technology, has closed $19 million in Series C funding. Battery Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included Javelin Venture Partners, Pinnacle Ventures and Webb Investment Network. In addition to funding, Boost Media has appointed Roger Lee, a general partner at Battery Ventures, to its board of directors. Also, the company has hired Michael Feldman as senior vice president of business development and Jeff McCarthy as vice president of customer success.

The San Francisco-based company has now raised more than $12 million in funding, including a $2 million Series A round earlier this year.
