Zagster nets $3.5 mln Series A

Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Zagster, a provider of private and public-private bike sharing systems, has secured $3.5 million in Series A funding. The investors included LaunchCapital, Fontinalis Partners, Clean Energy Venture Group, LaunchPad Venture Group and Otter Consulting.


EnergySage takes in $1.5 mln Series A

Boston-based online solar energy marketplace EnergySage has secured $1.5 million in Series A funding. Launchpad Venture Group was the lead investor. The New York Angels and the Clean Energy Venture Group also participated in the round. In addition to the funding, Gail Greenwald of Launchpad Venture Group has been added to EnergySage’s board of directors.


Qstream picks up $4 mln

Qstream has secured $4 million in Series A funding. Excel Venture Management led the round with participation from return backers Frontline Ventures and Launchpad Venture Group. Based in Burlington, Massachusetts, Qstream is a provider of mobile sales solutions and analytics.

Boston-based ezCater fetches $3 mln

ezCater said Tuesday that it has closed $3 million in funding. The investors included Breton Capital Management and Launchpad Venture Group. Based in Boston, ezCater is an online caterer for business meetings.


InfoBionic grabs $17 mln

InfoBionic said Tuesday that it has raised $17 million in Series B funding. Safeguard Scientifics led the round with participation from investors that included Mass Medical Angels, Broadview Ventures, TiE, Beta Fund, Boardwalk, Launchpad Venture Group and Keiretsu. In conjunction with the funding, Al Wiegman of Safeguard Scientifics has been added to InfoBionic’s board of directors. Based in Wayne, Penn., InfoBionic is a provider of patient monitoring solutions for chronic disease management.

VCharge Adds $1.9M

The Slater Technology Fund has reinvested in energy management services company VCharge, bringing its total investment to $250,000. The new money comes as part of a $1.9 million funding round. Clean Energy Venture Group, Launchpad Venture Group and EOS Ventures also contributed to the round. The money will go toward development and additional hires.

Localytics Inks Undisclosed Amount in Series A

Cambridge, Mass.-based Localytics has closed an undisclosed amount of Series A financing, led by existing shareholders investors Launchpad Venture Group and New York Angels. Hub Angels came in as a new investor. The money will be used for expanded sales and development. The company announced in May 2010 that it had sealed $700,000 in an initial round of financing.
