Zebit pulls in $10 mln in Crosslink Capital-led round

La Jolla, California-based Zebit Inc, an automated payment system provider, has secured $10 million in Series A funding. Crosslink Capital led the round with participation from other investors that included Wildcat Venture Partners, Leapfrog Ventures and Correlation Ventures. In addition to the funding, Jim Feuille, a general partner at Crosslink Capital, Bryan Stolle, a general partner at Wildcat Venture Partners and Mohr Davidow Ventures, and Pete Sinclair, a general partner at Leapfrog Ventures, have all been named to Zebit’s board of directors.

InsideSales.com to acquire VC-backed C9

Big data analytics company C9 has raised a $12 million Series D round of funding, giving it $40 million in total funding. The San Mateo, Calif.-based company, formerly known as Cloud9 Analytics, raised the round from existing investors Mayfield Fund, InterWest Partners and Leapfrog Ventures. Separately, the company announced Michael Howard as its new CEO.

Sunnyvale, Calif.-based HotLink Corp. has raised $10 million in Series A financing. Foundation Capital led the financing, with participation from Leapfrog Ventures. HotLink is developing an enterprise-class virtual integration and transformation platform, it says. The company was formed in 2010. Local.com Buys Krillion for $3.5M

Publicly traded Local.com has acquired Krillion Inc., a provider of location-based product search technology for online shoppers. Local.com paid $3.5 million in cash for the company. Palo Alto, Calif.-based Krillion had raised at least $9.1 million from venture investors Leapfrog Ventures and Hummer Winblad Venture Partners.
