Swift Navigation grabs $11 mln Series A

San Francisco-based Swift Navigation, a GPS technology provider, has secured $11 million in Series A funding. Lior Susan and Pierre Lamond of Eclipse led the round with participation from New Enterprise Associates, Promus Ventures, First Round Capital, Felicis Ventures, Fall Line Capital, Qualcomm Ventures and Lemnos Labs.


Promus Ventures leads Series B round for Spire

Data solutions provider Spire has secured $40 million in Series B funding. Promus Ventures led the round with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, Jump Capital, RRE Ventures and Lemnos Labs. In addition to the funding, Mike Collett, founder and managing director of Promus Ventures, has been appointed to Spire’s board of directors.


GPS startup Swift Navigation bags $2.6 mln seed

Swift Navigation has secured $2.6 million in seed funding. First Round led the round with participation from Fall Line Capital, Felicis Ventures, Kal Vepuri, Lemnos Labs, Qualcomm Ventures and VegasTechFund. Based in San Francisco, Swift Navigation is a provider of GPS technology.


RRE Ventures leads $25 mln Series A round in Spire

RRE Ventures has led a $25 million Series A funding round in Spire, a satellite-powered data company. Other investors participating in the funding round included existing and new investors Moose Capital, Quihoo and Mitsui & Co. Global Investment. Spire has raised a total of $29 million to date. It was originally incubated in Lemnos Labs. Spire is changing its name from Nanosatisfi.


Lemnos Labs Secures Funding and Recruits EIR

San Francisco-based Lemnos Labs has secured $1.85 million in funding. Investors include Alex Lloyd of Accelerator Ventures, Alex Vikati, Ash Patel, Matt Mullenweg‘s Audrey Capital, Daniel Abrams, Don Hutchison, Edwin Ong, Jack Herrick (founder/CEO of wikiHow.com), Naval Ravikant, Othman Laraki, Paul Sethi and Seraph Group. The company has also enlisted Eric Klein, managing partner at Klein Venture Partners, as its entrepreneur in residence.
