Littlejohn’s Wellfleet Credit closes debut CLO on $360 mln

Wellfleet Credit Partners, the performing credit business of Littlejohn & Co., closed its debut collateralized loan obligation on $360 million. The CLO will be backed by a portfolio of broadly syndicated senior secured loans. Littlejohn funds and its partners are investors in the CLO, which has a two-year, non-call and four-year investment period with a final maturity of 12 years. Littlejohn Debt Management formed Wellfleet earlier this year to invest in broadly syndicated loans and related fixed income investments.


Littlejohn sells Henniges Auto to Aviation Industry Corp. of China

Littlejohn & Co. LLC said Wednesday it closed the sale of Henniges Automotive Inc. to Aviation Industry Corp. of China. Financial terms weren’t announced. Auburn Hills, Michigan-based Henniges designs, makes and sells highly engineered vehicle systems for doors, windows, trunks, lift-gates, sunroofs and hoods. Morgan Stanley and UBS served as financial advisors advised Littlejohn.


Littlejohn sells Latham International to Wynnchurch

Wynnchurch Capital has acquired Latham International from Littlejohn & Co. LLC. No financial terms were disclosed. Moelis and William Blair provided financial advice to Littlejohn on the transaction. Latham International is a maker of packaged and fiberglass pools, safety covers, and related pool products.


Littlejohn to buy PlayPower

Littlejohn & Co LLC has agreed to acquire PlayPower Holdings Inc from Apollo Investment Corporation. No financial terms were disclosed for the transaction that is expected to be completed in the second quarter of this year. Based in in Huntersville, North Carolina, PlayPower is a maker of commercial playground equipment.


LBC backs recap of Littlejohn’s C&K Components

LBC Credit Partners has provided $83 million in credit facilities to support the recapitalization of C&K Components, a LIttlejohn & Co. portfolio company. Based in Massachusetts, C&K is a maker of electronic switch and interface technology.


Littlejohn buys Interior Specialists Inc

Littlejohn & Co. said Tuesday that it has acquired Interior Specialists Inc., a Carlsbad, Calif-based provider of interior design and installation services for the homebuilding sector. No financial terms were disclosed.


Littlejohn & Co. agrees to sell soil processor Clean Earth: CORRECTED

Littlejohn & Co. has agreed to sell Clean Earth, which processes contaminated soil on the East Coast, to Compass Diversified Holdings. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter. The Hatboro, Pennsylvania-based company handles more than 3 million tons of material annually from New York to Florida through a network of 12 full service soil facilities.


LittleJohn closes DeltaTech sale to Sensata Tech

Littlejohn & Co. said Monday that it completed the previously announced sale of CoActive Technologies’ business unit DeltaTech Controls to Sensata Technologies Holding N.V. Financial terms weren’t announced. Berlin-based DeltaTech makes and designs operator controls, including joystick, foot pedal, analog rocker and armrest products for customers such as off-road vehicle OEMs to medical equipment manufacturers. William Blair advised Littlejohn/CoActive.

Littlejohn & Co backs Newgistics

Littlejohn & Co has completed a significant equity investment in Newgistics, a provider of e-commerce solutions and services for brands and retailers. Newgistics will continue to operate as an independent entity, and the executive and management team will remain in place.

Broder Bros Buys Imprints Wholesale

Broder Bros, a distributor of imprintable apparel, has acquired Imprints Wholesale. The acquisition of Imprints Wholesale represents the first by Broder since 2006 and the first since private investment firm Littlejohn & Co assumed control of the board of directors in July 2012.

Littlejohn to Sell Synchronous Aerospace

Littlejohn & Co. has agreed to sell Synchronous Aerospace Group to Precision Castparts Corp. Financial terms weren’t announced. Santa Ana, Calif.-based Synchronous supplies complex assemblies and precision components for the commercial aerospace and defense markets. Lazard advised Synchronous.
