Ngmoco Buys Stumptown

Ngmoco, a developer of “socially empowering games” for the iPhone, has acquired Stumptown, a Portland, Ore.-based maker of games like pet simulation Touch Pets Dogs. No financial terms were disclosed. Ngmoco has raised over $40 million from Institutional Venture Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Norwest Venture Partners and Maples Investments.


iPhone Game Publisher Raises $10 Million

Ngmoco, a San Francisco-based publisher of iPhone and iPod touch games, has raised $10 million in Series B funding. Norwest Venture Partners led the round, and was joined by return backers Maples Investments and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Ngmoco had previously raised $5.6 million.
