Parchment said Wednesday it closed a $10 million follow-on investment led by The Raine Group. Parchment’s existing institutional investors, including Novak Biddle Venture Partners, Salmon River Capital, GSV Capital and ICG Holdings, also participated. Samsung Ventures led the round and was joined by existing investors New Enterprise Associates, Valhalla Partners and Novak Biddle Venture Partners. Investment dollars inched higher in the first quarter as venture capitalists favored later stage deals and returned with interest to cleantech and life science, according to the MoneyTree Report by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA), based on data from Thomson Reuters.
