OpenView promotes four to partner

OpenView Venture Partners has promoted Blake Bartlett, Mackey Craven, Devon McDonald and Ricky Pelletier to partner. Bartlett joined the firm in 2013 as a vice president while Craven came on board the same year as an associate. And, McDonald first joined OpenView in 2009 and Pelletier has been with the firm since 2011.


OpenView Venture Partners beefs up team with three hires

Boston-based venture firm OpenView Venture Partners has expanded its team with three new additions. The company has named Kelsey Heavey as analyst, Allie Letourneau as senior accountant and Gail Axelrod as PR and community maager. Previously, Heavey worked at Fiksu; Letourneau was at PricewaterhouseCoopers; and Axelrod worked at BetterCloud.

McCullough joins OpenView Venture Partners

OpenView Venture Partners said Wednesday that John McCullough has joined as Director of Corporate Development. Most recently, McCullough was Director of Corporate Development at Rocket Software.

Hoffman joins OpenView Venture Partners as a senior advisor

OpenView Venture Partners said Monday that Jeff Hoffman has joined as a Senior advisor. Hoffman, who is on the faculty at Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management, has consulted for numerous high-growth technology companies and regularly speaks to Fortune 500 audiences.


VC-backed SwiftStack recruits Jaworski as CEO

San Francisco-based object storage company SwiftStack has hired Don Jaworski as CEO. In this position, Jaworski replaces company co-founder Joe Arnold who will remain SwiftStack’s president and chief product officer. SwiftStack’s backers include OpenView Venture Partners, Mayfield Fund and Storm Ventures.


VC-backed Datadog acquires Mortar Data

Datadog has bought New York-based Mortar Data, which helps companies build big data applications and data pipelines. No financial terms were disclosed. Datadog’s backers include Index Ventures, RTP Ventures, Openview Venture Partners and Amplify Partners.


Index Ventures leads $31 mln round for Datadog

Datadog, a New York City-based data monitoring service, has closed $31 million in Series C funding. Index Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included RTP Ventures, Openview Venture Partners and Amplify Partners.


Skytap snaps up $35 mln in Insight Venture-led round

Skytap has raised $35 million in funding in a round led by Insight Venture Partners. The other investors included OpenView Venture Partners, Ignition Partners, Madrona Venture Group and Washington Research Foundation. Based in Seattle, Skytap is a provider of on-demand Environments as a Service.


Socrata nabs $30 mln in Sapphire Ventures-led round

Socrata has received $30 million in Series C funding in a round led by Sapphire Ventures. Other investors were return backers OpenView Venture Partners, Morgenthaler Ventures and Frazier Technology Partners. Socrata is a provider of cloud solutions for open data and data-driven government.


LLR backs VersionOne

VersionOne, an agile ALM solutions provider, has closed $20 million in funding from LLR Partners. Shea & Company was financial advisor to VersionOne on the transaction. VersionOne is backed by OpenView Venture Partners.


FieldAware raises $24 mln

FieldAware said Wednesday it raised a $24 million funding round. Summit Bridge Capital led the round with support from Silicon Valley Bank, while existing investors OpenView Venture Partners, Atlantic Bridge Partners and Oyster Capital Partners also participated. FieldAware, based in Plano, Texas and Dublin, provides cloud-based field service automation SaaS solutions.
