SevOne racks up $50 mln Series C

SevOne, a provider of digital infrastructure management solutions, has raised $50 million in Series C funding. Westfield Capital Management and Bain Capital Ventures led the round with participation from Brookside Capital, HarbourVest, VT Technology Ventures and Osage Venture Partners.


Brazen attracts $4.7 mln

Arlington, Virginia-based Brazen, an engagement platform that connects organizations with their stakeholders, has raised $4.7 million in funding. Osage Venture Partners led the round with participation from Randstad Innovation Fund, Militello Capital and Kegonsa Capital Partners.


ResiModel reaches $3.5 mln

New York City-based ResiModel, a platform for aggregating and analyzing financial data for multifamily transactions, has raised about $900,000 in its latest funding round, bringing the total tally to $3.5 million. The investors included Osage Venture Partners, Leading Edge Ventures, Kevin Quinn, former global co-head of technology investment banking at Goldman Sachs, Kurt Roeloffs, former chief investment officer at Deutsche Bank Real Estate and Bob White, founder and president of Real Capital Analytics.


Family robot maker Jibo raises $25.3 mln Series A

Jibo, which develops a connected, consumer robot for the home, announced it has raised $25.3 million in Series A funding. RRE Ventures led the round, with participation from CRV, Flybridge Capital Partners, Fairhaven Capital Partners, Two Sigma, Formation 8, Samsung Ventures, Osage Venture Partners and individual investors. The Cambridge, Mass.-based company had previously raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding, led by CRV. Jibo held a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo from mid-July to mid-September last year in which it pre-sold 4,800 units and raised $2.8 million. The product acts like a smart assistant, reminding users of tasks and interacting with the household. 


River Cities Capital, Osage Venture lead $9 mln funding in Canvas

River Cities Capital Funds and Osage Venture Partners have led a $9 million funding round in Canvas, which provides mobile apps for collecting and storing business information. Other participants in the funding include existing investor Camber Capital (formerly Berman Venture Capital).


ExecOnline picks up $5 mln in Osage Venture-led round

ExecOnline has closed $5 million in Series A financing. Osage Venture Partners led the round with participation from New Atlantic Ventures, Kaplan Ventures, Militello Capital and various unnamed investors. Based in New York City, ExecOnline is a provider of online executive education programs featuring multiple top-tier business schools.


RackWare rakes in $2.3 mln

RackWare said Wednesday that it has secured $2.3 million in funding. Previous backers Kickstart Seed Fund and Osage Venture Partners led the round. Based in Santa Calra, Calif., RackWare is a provider of cloud solutions.


Automated Insights rakes in $5.5 mln Series B

Automated Insights has raised $5.5 million in Series B funding. Osage Venture Partners led the round with participation from investors that included Samsung Venture Investment Corp., the Associated Press, AOL co-founder Steve Case, Court Square Ventures, OCA Ventures and IDEA Fund Partners. In addition to the funding, David Drahms of Osage Venture Partners and Scott Frederick, chief operating officer of Automated Insights, have joined the company’s board of directors. Based in Durham, North Carolina, Automated Insights produces personalized narrative content from big data.


Osage Venture Partners leads $3.1 mln funding in Sidecar

Osage Venture Partners has led a $3.1 million funding round in Sidecar, a Philadelphia-based big data marketing services startup. Osage joins existing investors NextStage Capital, Innovation Ventures, Gabriel Investments, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Mid-Atlantic Angel Group, Robinhood Ventures, ARC Angel Group and Michael G. Rubin.

Pneuron Raises $6 Million Round, Led by Safeguard Scientifics

Safeguard Scientifics, a Wayne, Pa.-based investment company focused on technology and healthcare outfits, has provided $5 million of a new $6 million Series B round of financing raised by Pneuron Corp., a Woburn, Mass.-based company that sells large data integration software applications. Osage Venture Partners, a previous investor in Pneuron, contributed the remaining funding to the round.S

Osage Venture Partners Closes Fund III Above Target

Osage Venture Partners has closed Osage Venture Partners III, exceeding its target fund size by 10 percent to reach $66 million. Osage Venture Partners III will continue with the same strategy for Osage Venture Partners II, investing exclusively in early stage enterprise software companies in the mid-Atlantic region.

NXT Capital Backs Clinipace Worldwide’s Acquisition of Paragon Biomedical

NXT Capital’s venture finance group has provided financing to support Clinipace Worldwide’s acquisition of Paragon Biomedical. Digital contract research organization Clinipace is headquartered in Morrisville, North Carolina and is backed by Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital, Hatteras Venture Partners, Brooke Private Equity, Osage Venture Partners and Mario Family Partners.

Halfpenny Technologies Inks $2.25M

Blue Bell, Penn.-based Halfpenny Technologies Inc., a provider of clinical data integration technology, has raised $2.25 million in venture capital. Identropy Closes on $4M Series A

Milestone Venture Partners and Osage Venture Partners have backed Identropy, a maker of identity and access management software, to the tune of $4 million. The Series A round will support growth of the company’s cloud-based technology, and will be used to expand sales and marketing efforts. The start-up is based in Moonachie, New Jersey.

Tangent Medical Closes $4.5M

Arboretum Ventures and Flagship Ventures co-led a $4.5 million Series A round for medical device startup Tangent Medical Technologies Inc. Osage Ventures and several undisclosed angel investors also contributed. Tim Petersen of Arboretum and Harry Wilcox of Flagship have joined Tangent’s board.

FieldView Solutions Adds $2M

FieldView Solutions, a maker of data center infrastructure management software, has closed on $2 million in fresh capital from SJF Ventures, Milestone Venture Partners and Osage Venture Partners. The money will help the company expand its development team, among other efforts. Edison, New Jersey-based Fieldview closed a $2.75 million Series A round in 2009.

Halfpenny Tech Secures $2.6 Million in VC Funding

Halfpenny Technologies has secured $2.6 million in VC funding co-led by Osage Venture Partners and Milestone Venture Partners. LORE Associates also participated in the round. Blue Bell, Pa.-based Halfpenny is a health information exchange services provider.
