RetailNext snags $125 mln

San Jose, California-based RetailNext Inc, a provider of in-store retail analytics, has raised $125 million in funding. Activant Capital Group led the round with participation from other investors that included August Capital, StarVest Partners, Nokia Growth Partners, Commerce Ventures, American Express, Pereg Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures and Siguler Guff & Company. In addition to the funding, Activant’s Steve Sarracino, has been added to RetailNext’s board of directors.


Nielsen-backed Pereg Ventures raises $25 mln with Fund I first close

Pereg Ventures LLC has raised $25 million with the first close of its first fund. The target for Pereg Ventures Fund I was not known. Nielsen, the information services company, has also invested in Pereg Ventures. The New York-based early-stage venture capital firm mainly provides Series A and B financing to B2B information services companies. Pereq has invested an undisclosed amount in RetailNext, which provides in-store analytics to retailers, and Zollo, which crowd-sources insights on consumer shopping behaviors.


NGP leads $30 mln round for RetailNext

RetailNext, a San Jose, Calif. provider of retail analytics, said Tuesday that it has raised $30 million in funding. Nokia Growth Partners led the round with participation from Activant Capital Group, August Capital, StarVest Partners, Commerce Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, Tyco and American Express.
