Vidyo names Westman President, CEO

Vidyo said Wednesday that it has named Eran Westman its President and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding co-founder Ofer Shapiro, effective immediately. Shapiro will become Vice Chairman and will help guide the company, a statement said. Westman previously held the role of Chief Revenue Officer. Guy Resheff has also joined Vidyo as Chief Technology Officer. Vidyo, of Hackensack, New Jersey, provides video conference software and is backed by venture capital firms including Menlo Ventures, Rho Ventures and Sevin Rosen Funds.


VC-backed Philo appoints new CEO

Next-generation TV platform Philo has hired Andrew McCollum as CEO. Previously, McCollum was an entrepreneur-in-residence at New Enterprise Associates and Flybridge Partners, both of which back Philo. The firm’s other investors include Xfund, Felicis Ventures, Rho Ventures and TriplePoint Capital.


VC-backed Tapjoy acquires 5Rocks

Mobile app tech firm Tapjoy has bought 5Rocks. No financial terms were disclosed. 5Rocks is a Korean provider of predictive analytics and marketing automation solutions. Tapjoy is backed by J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Rho Ventures, North Bridge Venture Partners, InterWest Partners and D.E. Shaw Ventures.


Vidyo picks up $20 mln

Vidyo said Friday that it has raised $20 million in funding. The investors included Menlo Ventures, Rho Ventures, Sevin Rosen Funds, QuestMark Partners, Saints Capital, Four Rivers Group, ORR Ventures, Triangle Peak Partners and Juniper Networks through its Junos Innovation Fund. Based in Hackensack, NJ, Vidyo is a provider of video conferencing solutions.


Digital wallet Dashlane snags $22 mln Series B

Dashlane has closed $22 million Series B funding. Bessemer Venture Partners led the round with participation from Rho Ventures, FirstMark Capital and Dashlane’s original founder Bernard Liautaud. In addition to the funding, Alex Ferrara, a partner at BVP, has been added to Dashlane’s board. Based in New York City and Paris, Dashlane is a password manager and digital wallet.


ChargePoint nabs $22.6 mln

ChargePoint has received $22.6 million in funding. Investors in this round included Rho Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Braemar Energy Ventures, Siemens Venture Capital GmbH, Voyager Capital and BMW. Headquartered in Campbell, Calif., ChargePoint is an open electric vehicle charging network.

SolarBridge nets $42 mln

SolarBridge Technologies has raised $42 million in funding. Constellation Technology Ventures, which is part of Exelon Corp., led the round with participation from Shea Ventures, Rho Ventures and Prelude Ventures. According to the company, the capital infusion will be used for sales and marketing in addition to research and development. Also, SolarBridge has added Michael Smith of Constellation Technology Ventures to its board of directors. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, SolarBridge is a provider of microinverters and monitoring technology for TrueAC solar systems.

CloudPay Raises $16M From Pinnacle, Rho, Others

CloudPay said it raised $16 million in a Series B round of financing from Pinnacle Investment Partners, Rho Ventures and other institutional investors. CloudPay has collected more than $50 million in equity funding since it launched its cloud offering, named CloudPay.
