Fuel delivery startup Booster Fuels has secured $9 million in Series A funding. Maveron led the round with participation from other investors that included Madrona Venture Group, Version One Ventures and RRE Ventures. In addition to the funding, David Wu, general partner at Maveron, has been added to Booster Fuels’ board.

Research Triangle Park, North Carolina-based Netsertive, a provider of digital marketing intelligence, has secured $15 million in Series C funding. The company’s investors are RRE Ventures, Harbert Venture Partners, River Cities Capital Funds and Greycroft Partners. In addition to the funding, Rik Vandevenne of River Cities Capital Funds has been added to Netsertive’s board of directors.

SF Capital Group led the round with participation from Emerald Development Managers and RRE Ventures. Bitcoin startup Chain ropes in $30 mln

San Francisco-based Chain, a provider of blockchain services for bitcoin networks to trade and transfer financial assets and smart contracts, announced it has raised a $30 million Series B round of funding. Investors include Visa, Nasdaq, Citi Ventures, Capital One, Fiserv and Orange. The company has now raised about  $44 million in total funding. In addition, former American Express CEO and RRE Ventures founder Jim Robinson III has joined the company board.

Bitcoin exchange itBit has named Daniel Alter as general counsel and chief compliance officer and Kim Petry as chief financial officer. Previously, Alter worked at the New York State Department of Financial Services where he served as general counsel while Petry was CFO of global operations and technology at Broadridge Financial Services. ItBit’s backers include RRE Ventures, Canaan Partners and Liberty City Ventures.

New York City-based commercial leasing management platform Hightower has secured an undisclosed amount of funding, the company announced in a blog post on its site. The investors included Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Corp; Barry Sternlicht, CEO of Starwood Capital; and Bill Rudin, CEO of Rudin Management Company. Among Hightower’s previous backers are Bessemer Venture Partners, Thrive Capital and RRE Ventures.

The investors included Acumen, Clif White Road Investments, RRE Ventures, the Disruptive Innovation Fund, Deutsche Bank and USAID. In addition to the funding, Acumen’s Sachin Rudra has been named to BioLite’s board of directors.
