Actiance raises $28 mln in late-stage funding

Actiance, a provider of enterprise communications, announced it has raised $28 million in a late-stage growth investment. New investor Golub Capital joined existing investors Credit Suisse NEXT Investors, JK&B Capital, Scale Venture Partners and Sutter Hill Ventures. The Redwood City, Calif.-based company, formerly known as FaceTime Communications, raised a $15.6 million venture round in 2007.

Wrike pulls in $15 mln Series B

Mountain View, California-based work management platform Wrike has secured $15 million in Series B funding. The investors were Scale Venture Partners, DCM Ventures and return backer Bain Capital Ventures. In addition to the funding, Rory O’Driscoll of ScaleVP has been added to Wrike’s board of directors.


Scale Venture, Next World lead $15 mln funding in Aviso

Scale Venture Partners and Next World Capital have led a $15 million Series B funding in Aviso, which makes software for sales management, operations and forecasting. Other participants in the funding include Shasta Ventures, First Round Capital, Bloomberg Beta and Cowboy Ventures, as well as existing angel investors. Stacey Bishop from Scale Venture Partners and Craig Hanson from Next World will join Aviso’s board. The funding brings Aviso’s total capital raised to $23 million.


Bill.com nabs $50 mln

Business payment network Bill.com has secured $50 million in funding. The investors were Silicon Valley Bank, DCM Ventures, Scale Venture Partners, August Capital, Napier Park Global Capital, American Express Ventures and Commerce Ventures.


CloudHealth Technologies snags $12 mln Series B

CloudHealth Technologies, a cloud management platform provider, has closed $12 million in Series B funding. Scale Venture Partners led the round with participation from return backers .406 Ventures and Sigma Prime Ventures. Also, Ariel Tseitlin, a partner at Scale Venture Partners, has been appointed to CloudHealth’s board of directors.


Treasure Data fetches $15 mln Series B

Data processing cloud service Treasure Data has secured $15 million in Series B funding. Scale Venture Partners led the round with participation from other investors that included AME Cloud Ventures.


VC-backed DocuSign names CMO

San Francisco-based electronic signature company DocuSign has hired Brad Brooks as chief marketing officer. Recently, Brooks worked at Juniper Networks where he served as CMO and senior vice president of global marketing. DocuSign’s backers include Samsung Ventures, BBVA Ventures, Accel Partners, Google Ventures, Comcast Ventures, Ignition Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Sapphire Ventures and Scale Venture Partners.


Scale Venture Partners leads $25 mln Series C funding in OneLogin

Scale Venture Partners has led a $25 million Series C funding round in OneLogin, which provides cloud-based identity and access management. Existing investors CRV and The Social+Capital Partnership also participated in the funding round. Rory O’Driscoll, partner at Scale Venture Partners, will join OneLogin’s board. The company has now raised a total of $44 million.


Referral marketing platform Extole snags $14 mln Series C

San Francisco-based referral marketing platform Extole has raised $14 million in Series C funding. Scale Venture Partners led the round with participation from Norwest Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures, Shasta Ventures and Trident Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Stacey Bishop, a partner at ScaleVP, has been added to Extole’s board of directors.

VC-backed Agari taps ex-Interwoven CEO Brauns for board

Agari, a San Mateo, Calif.-based provider of real-time, data-driven security solutions, has appointed Martin Brauns to its board of directors. Brauns is the former chairman and CEO of Interwoven. Agari is backed by Alloy Ventures, Battery Ventures, First Round Capital, Greylock Partners and Scale Venture Partners.


Agari raises $15 mln led by Scale Venture Partners

Agari, a provider of real-time, data-driven security solutions has secured a $15 million Series C funding round led by Scale Venture Partners. Existing investors Alloy Ventures, Battery Ventures, First Round Capital and others also participated.


Bizible fetches $8 mln

Bizible said Tuesday that it has raised $8 million in funding. Scale Venture Partners led the round with participation from Tim Kopp, Madrona Venture Partners, MHS Capital, Investment Group of Santa Barbara and Rob Glaser. In conjunction with the funding, Stacey Bishop of Scale Venture Partners has been added to Bizible’s board of directors. Bizible is a provider of marketing performance management solutions.

General Catalyst looks for payday with HubSpot IPO

Marketing software provider HubSpot Inc, which has raised about $100 million in venture capital, on Monday registered for an initial public offering. The filing shows that VCs own 66 percent of the company, led by General Catalyst Partners, which owns about 27 percent.


Scale Venture Partners’ Kate Mitchell rejoins NVCA board of directors

Kate Mitchell, co-founder and partner of Scale Venture Partners, has rejoined NVCA’s board as a director. Previously, Mitchell joined the board as a director in 2007 and then later served as a chairman from 2010 to 2011. Her current term will expire in 2016. Mitchell’s appointment comes after Silver Lake Kraftwerk’Adam Grosser’s resignation from the board.
