Scale leads funding in Stormpath

San  Mateo, Calif.-based Stormpath, a provider of secure customer identity API technology, announced it has raised $15 million in Series B round. Scale Venture Partners led the round, which included previous investors New Enterprise Associates and Pelion Venture Partners. The company has now raised about $25 million in total funding, including an $8.2 million Series A round in early 2013. As part of the latest round, Andy Vitus, a partner at Scale Venture Partners, has joined the board.

Sageview Capital led the round with participation from return backers Adobe Systems, Altos Ventures, Costanoa Venture Capital, Greenspring Associates, Salesforce.com Ventures, Scale Venture Partners and Sigma West. In addition to the funding, Demandbase has added Ned Gilhuly, founding partner of Sageview Capital, to its board of directors.

New investor Golub Capital joined existing investors Credit Suisse NEXT Investors, JK&B Capital, Scale Venture Partners and Sutter Hill Ventures. The Redwood City, Calif.-based company, formerly known as FaceTime Communications, raised a $15.6 million venture round in 2007.

Other participants in the funding include Shasta Ventures, First Round Capital, Bloomberg Beta and Cowboy Ventures, as well as existing angel investors. Stacey Bishop from Scale Venture Partners and Craig Hanson from Next World will join Aviso’s board. The funding brings Aviso’s total capital raised to $23 million.
