SolarBridge Technologies has raised $42 million in funding. Constellation Technology Ventures, which is part of Exelon Corp., led the round with participation from Shea Ventures, Rho Ventures and Prelude Ventures. According to the company, the capital infusion will be used for sales and marketing in addition to research and development. Also, SolarBridge has added Michael Smith of Constellation Technology Ventures to its board of directors. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, SolarBridge is a provider of microinverters and monitoring technology for TrueAC solar systems.

BP Technology Ventures also contributed, as did return investors General Electric, Google Ventures, ConocoPhillips, NRG and North Bridge Venture Partners. Cool Planet BioFuels is developing bio-based renewable, reduced carbon gasoline that can be blended with conventional gasoline. The company did not disclose the amount of the round.
