Poshmark snags $25 mln

Menlo Park, California-based Poshmark, a fashion community marketplace, has secured $25 million in funding. The investors were Mayfield, Menlo Ventures, Inventus Capital, Union Grove Venture Partners, Shea Ventures and SoftTech VC.


Camden Partners leads $22.5 mln round for Steelwedge

Pleasanton, California-based Steelwedge, a provider of cloud supply chain planning solutions, has raised $22.5 million in funding. Camden Partners led the round with participation from other investors that included Mainsail Partners and Shea Ventures.


Orboxtix nabs $15.5 mln

Orbotix has secured $15.5 million in funding. The investors were Shea Ventures, Grishin Robotics and Foundry Group. Based in Boulder, Orbotix is a connected toy company.

SolarBridge nets $42 mln

SolarBridge Technologies has raised $42 million in funding. Constellation Technology Ventures, which is part of Exelon Corp., led the round with participation from Shea Ventures, Rho Ventures and Prelude Ventures. According to the company, the capital infusion will be used for sales and marketing in addition to research and development. Also, SolarBridge has added Michael Smith of Constellation Technology Ventures to its board of directors. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, SolarBridge is a provider of microinverters and monitoring technology for TrueAC solar systems.

SolarCity Shares Shine in Debut

Shares of SolarCity Corp jumped more than 50 percent during their market debut on Thursday, approaching the valuation the solar power company had sought before it was forced to slash its IPO price.

BP Technology Ventures Backs Cool Planet BioFuels

Shea Ventures led a Series C round for Cool Planet BioFuels Inc., the company announced Thursday. BP Technology Ventures also contributed, as did return investors General Electric, Google Ventures, ConocoPhillips, NRG and North Bridge Venture Partners. Cool Planet BioFuels is developing bio-based renewable, reduced carbon gasoline that can be blended with conventional gasoline. The company did not disclose the amount of the round.
