VC-backed Mobiquity acquires Morgan Clark

Mobile solutions provider Mobiquity has bought Morgan Clark & Company, an Amsterdam-based provider of tech-enabled business consulting solutions. No financial terms were disclosed. Mobiquity’s backers include NewSpring Growth, Longworth Venture Partners and Sigma Partners.

NEXTracker scores $25 mln

Silicon Valley-based NEXTracker Inc, a maker of axis PV trackers, has closed $25 million in financing. The investors in this round included SJF Ventures, Tennenbaum Capital Partners, Sigma Partners and DBL Investors.


Everspin Technologies snags $29 mln Series B

Chandler, Arizona-based MRAM maker Everspin Technologies Inc has secured $29 million in Series B funding.The investors include Globalfoundries, Western Digital Capital, New Venture Partners, Lux Capital, Sigma Partners, Epic Ventures and Draper Fisher Jurvetson.


Rethink Robotics pulls in $26.6 mln Series D

Boston-based robots maker Rethink Robotics has raised $26.6 million in Series D funding. GE Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included Goldman Sachs, Bezos Expeditions, CRV, Highland Capital Partners, Sigma Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Two Sigma Ventures.


Quantenna Communications racks up $22 mln

Silicon Valley-based Wi-Fi solutions provider Quantenna Communications has closed $22 million in funding. The lead investors were Centerview Capital Technology, Vivint and NTT Group. Return backers Sequoia Capital, DAG Ventures, Rusnano, Sigma Partners and Venrock also participated in the round. In addition to the financing, Quantenna has named Ned Hooper and Harold Hughes to its board of directors.


Hardware manufacturer Kateeva raises $38 mln

Kateeva, a maker of flat panel OLED displays, has raised $38 million in a Series D round of funding from from Samsung Venture Investment Corp, Sigma Partners, Spark Capital, Madrone Capital Partners, DBL Investors, New Science Ventures and VEECO Instruments Inc. The Menlo Park, California-based company has now raised more than $110 million since it was founded in 2008.


Data storage firm Nasuni racks up $10 mln

Nasuni said Monday that it has raised $10 million in financing. Investors included Flybridge Capital Partners, North Bridge Venture Partners and Sigma Partners. Based in Natick, Mass., Nasuni is a provider of data storage solutions.


Digital business company Acquia bags $50 mln

Acquia has raised $50 million in funding. New Enterprise Associates led the round with participation from Split Rock Partners, North Bridge Venture Partners, Sigma Partners, Investor Growth Capital and Tenaya Capital. In addition to the funding, Ravi Viswanathan, general partner at NEA, has been named to Acquia’s board of directors. Headquartered in Burlington, Mass., Acquia is a digital business firm.

VoltDB nets $8 mln

VoltDB said Monday that it has received $8 million in Series B funding. Investors included previous backers Sigma Partners and Kepha Partners. Based in Bedford, Mass., and Santa Clara, Calif., VoltDB is an operational database provider.


NTT invests in VC-backed Quantenna Communications

NTT Finance Corp, which is part of the NTT Group, has made an undisclosed investment in Quantenna Communications. Headquartered in Silicon Valley, Quantenna Communications is a provider of Wi-Fi solutions. Its backers include DAG Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Sigma Partners, Southern Cross Venture Partners, Telefonica Ventures and Venrock.

GainSpan Raises $19M From Zebra, Oplink, Opus, Intel, Others

GainSpan Corp. said it raised $19 million of funding from two new strategic investors, Zebra Technologies Corporation and Oplink Communications, Inc., and existing investors Opus Capital, Intel Capital, New Venture Partners, Sigma Partners, Camp Ventures and Hatteras Funds.
