Demandbase grabs $30 mln in Sageview Capital-led round

San Francisco-based Demandbase, a provider of account-based marketing solutions, has secured $30 million in funding. Sageview Capital led the round with participation from return backers Adobe Systems, Altos Ventures, Costanoa Venture Capital, Greenspring Associates, Salesforce.com Ventures, Scale Venture Partners and Sigma West. In addition to the funding, Demandbase has added Ned Gilhuly, founding partner of Sageview Capital, to its board of directors.


ToutApp scores $15 mln Series B

Sales platform ToutApp has secured $15 million in Series B funding. Andreessen Horowitz led the round with participation from previous backers Sigma West, Founder Collective, 500 Startups and the Launch Fund. In addition to the funding, Scott Weiss of Andreessen Horowitz has been appointed to ToutApp’s board of directors.


CRM platform Sparkcentral pulls in $12 mln Series B

San Francisco-based CRM platform Sparkcentral has secured $12 million in Series B funding. Split Rock Partners led the round with participation from return backer Sigma West. As a result of the funding, Split Rock will receive a seat on Sparkcentral’s board.


JMI Equity leads $20 mln round for Seismic

Seismic, a provider of sales enablement solutions, has raised $20 million in Series B funding. JMI Equity led the round with participation from other investors that included Sigma West. In conjunction with the funding, Peter Arrowsmith, a general partner at JMI, has been added to Seismic’s board of directors.


Online workplace Elance-oDesk grabs $30 mln

Mountain View, Calif.-based online workplace Elance-oDesk has received $30 million in funding. Benchmark led the round with participation from other investors that included T. Rowe Price, FirstMark, Sigma West, NEA and the Stripes Group.


Sequoia backs athletic network Strava

Sporting network Strava has raised $18.5 million in funding. The investors were Sequoia, Sigma West and Madrone Capital Partners. According to the firm, the capital will be used for expansion.

Omniata scores $5.2 mln

Omniata said Wednesday that it has closed $5.2 million in Series A financing. Creandum led the round with participation from previous backer Sigma West. Based in San Francisco, Omniata is a unified digital platform.

AlienVault Raises $26.5M From GGV, Trident, Kleiner, Adara, Others

AlienVault said it raised $26.5 million of Series D funding in a deal led by GGV Capital and joined by existing investors Trident Capital, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Sigma West and Adara Venture Partners. Other new investors include Top Tier Capital and Correlation Ventures. The funding will be used to scale the company’s sales and marketing efforts.

Sigma West Leads Seismic’s Series A

Seismic, which provides a cloud-based enterprise content management system, has raised a $4.5 million Series A funding round led by Sigma West. Encinitas, Calif.-based Seismic was founded in mid-2011 and this is its first institutional round. Sigma West Managing Director Peter Solvik has joined the company board.
