Silverfleet Capital to buy Masai

Silverfleet Capital has agreed to acquire Danish women’s wear clothing brand Masai Clothing Company ApS. No financial terms were disclosed. BlueBay and Lloyds Bank will provide the debt funding for the transaction.


Silverfleet to buy Masai Clothing

Silverfleet Capital said Wednesday it has agreed to buy Masai Clothing Company ApS. Financial terms weren’t announced. Hans and Nina Rye, Masai’s founders, are the sellers. Masai’s management team will continue to lead the business and are buying a minority stake. BlueBay and Lloyds Bank are providing debt financing. Copenhagen-based Masai is a Danish womenswear clothing brand.


Silverfleet Fund II raises $928.4 mln

Silverfleet Capital has closed its second fund at 850 million euros (US$928.4 million), surpassing its 700 million target. Twentyfive LPs committed to the fund, including insurance groups (42%), pension funds (29%), fund-of-funds groups (15%), sovereign wealth funds (9%) and the balance came from family offices. Silverfleet, a European mid-market PE firm invests in business & financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and retail, leisure & consumer products.

Châtillon joins Silverfleet Capital

Silverfleet Capital said Monday that Jean Châtillon has joined the firm in Paris as a Principal. Benjamin Hubner and Jennifer Regehr have also joined Silverfleet in Munich as Associates. Châtillon was previously at Cobalt Capital, while Hubner worked at McKinsey & Company in Munich and Regehr was at UniCredit Bank.


Silverfleet Capital acquires AGR

Silverfleet Capital is to acquire AGR Holdings, the petroleum services division of Oslo-listed AGR Group ASA. Completion will be around end of August.

Silverfleet expands London team

Silverfleet Capital has appointed Jack Priestman as an analyst, based in its London office. Priestman was formerly at Perella Weinberg Partners in London as an Analyst in the generalist M&A advisory team.

Silverfleet-backed Aesica expands

UK-based pharmaceutical manufacturer Aesica has announced the creation of a new high capacity manufacturing facility following an investment at its Queenborough, Kent site. The company is backed by Silverfleet Capital.

Silverfleet Capital to Buy Ipes

European private equity firm Silverfleet Capital is to buy Ipes, a provider of fund administration and outsourcing services to the private equity industry, from RJD Partners. The deal is valued at 50 million pounds ($76.5 million).

Silverfleet Capital Promotes Three

European private equity firm Silverfleet Capital has promoted three of its investment team. Mark Piasecki, who is based in London, has been promoted to principal. Robert Knight, also based in London, and Cyril Bourdarot who is based in Paris, have become investment executives.

Silverfleet Takes on LDC Investment

London-based private equity firm Silverfleet Capital has agreed a majority investment with Aesica Pharmaceuticals replacing that of LDC. Members of Aesica’s executive team will reinvest a significant amount of money for a large minority stake. Debt is being provided by Lloyds, HSBC and Yorkshire Bank.Headquartered near Newcastle, UK, Aesica has the expertise to both develop and manufacture primary (API) and secondary stage (finished product dosage forms) pharmaceuticals.

GTCR Completes Sterigenics Buy

Buyout shop GTCR has completed its acquisition of Sterigenics International Inc., a provider of contract sterilization and ionization services for medical devices, food products and other applications. The firm bought Oak Brook, Illinois-based Sterigenics from Silverfleet Capital and PPM America Capital Partners. Terms were not released. Jefferies & Company, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and UBS advised GTCR on the transaction.

Silverfleet Plans To Sell Sterigenics

(Reuters) – Private equity firm Silverfleet Capital is seeking to sell Sterigenics, the Chicago-based firm whose gamma-ray sterilisation technology is used by medical device makers, sources familiar with the situation said on Thursday.

Silverfleet is hoping the business, which it bought in 2004, will fetch about $800 million and expects it will attract interest from private equity firms and trade bidders, the sources said.

Silverfleet declined comment. Sterigenics’s listed competitors include Steris Corp (STE.N) and Canada’s MDS Nordion (MDS.TO).
