VC-backed SugarCRM buys Stitch

SugarCRM Inc has acquired San Francisco-based Stitch, a provider of personal assistant technologies that enhance productivity for mobile users. No financial terms were disclosed. SugarCRM is backed by Goldman Sachs, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, New Enterprise Associates and Walden International.

Goldman Sachs Invests $40M in SugarCRM

SugarCRM, which develops open source customer relationship management software, has raised $40 million in a new equity round from Goldman Sachs & Co. As part of the funding, Antoine Munfa, a vice president at Goldman Sachs, has joined the board of the Cupertino, Calif.-based company.

SugarCRM Raises $33M From NEA, Gold Hill, DFJ, Others

SugarCRM said it raised $33 million in equity and debt financing in a round led by New Enterprise Associates and joined by new investors Silicon Valley Bank and Gold Hill Capital. Existing investors Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Walden International also participated. NEA Venture Partner Brooke Seawell joined the board.
