Adello nabs $2 mln Series A

Swiss mobile advertising firm Adello has closed $2 million in Series A funding. The investors were Swisscom Ventures and Adello management. According to the firm, the capital will be used to expand into Asia and the U.S.


PLUMgrid nabs $16.2 mln Series B

PLUMgrid has closed $16.2 million in Series B funding. Longworth Venture Partners led the round with participation from U.S. Venture Partners, Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, Qualcomm Ventures and Swisscom Ventures. Based in Sunnyvale, Calif., PLUMgrid is a provider of secure cloud networks for public and private clouds.


Telstra Ventures leads funding round for MATRIXX

MATRIXX Software has secured an undisclosed amount of funding. Telstra Ventures led the round with participation from previous backers Swisscom Ventures, Innovacom, Greylock Partners, Adams Street Partners and Tugboat Ventures. In addition to the funding, Mark Sherman of Telstra Ventures has been named to the MATRIXX board of directors. Headquartered in Mountain View, Calif., MATRIXX is a provider of real-time policy and charging solutions.


Amplidata scores $11 mln

Amplidata said Monday that it has secured $11 million in funding. Intel Capital led the round with participation from previous backers that include Endeavor Vision, Hummingbird Ventures, Quantum and Swisscom Ventures. Headquartered in Milpitas, Calif. and in Lochristi, Belgium, Amplidata is a provider of software defined storage solutions.

Telefonica Partners with Quantenna

Telefonica has signed a strategic partnership with Quantenna Communications, a provider of ultra-reliable Wi-Fi networking for whole home entertainment. The partnership sees Telefonica making a strategic equity investment in Quantenna via Telefonica Ventures, a division of Telefonica Digital, with offices in Silicon Valley, London, Madrid and Israel. me2me Inks $2.34M Series A

Baar, Switzerland-based me2me, which develops productivity software solutions for enterprise mobility, has raised 2.15 million Swiss francs ($2.34 million) in a first close of its Series A financing round. Investors include Credit Suisse entity SVC Ltd., Swisscom Ventures and beelk Holding AG. The company plans a final close of the round – targeted at 3 million Swiss francs in total – by the end of June.
