Data analytics company Datameer raises $40 mln

San Francisco-based Datameer, a provider of a big data analytics platform, announced it has raised a $40 million round of financing led by ST Telemedia. Joining the round are Top Tier Capital Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers, Redpoint Ventures, Next World Capital and Software AG. The company has now raised $76 million in total funding. As part of the latest financing, Nikhil Eapen of ST Telemedia has joined the board.

Endgame scores $30 mln Series C

The investors were Bessemer Venture Partners, Paladin Capital Group, Columbia Capital, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Edgemore Capital, Top Tier Capital Partners and Savano Capital Partners.

2nd Watch has secured $10 million in funding. Top Tier Capital Partners led the round with participation from previous backers Madrona Venture Group and Columbia Capital. The company has also named Doug Schneider as CEO. He will be succeeding 2nd Watch founder Kris Bliesner who will continue as CTO. Headquartered in Seattle, 2nd Watch builds, deploys and manages Amazon Web Services-based IT operations for enterprise customers.

Maiden Lane to close initial fund – Fortune

According to Fortune, a new fund of fund Maiden Lane is set to close its debut fund at between $20 million and $25 million. The outlet reported that the fund will back syndicates and companies tied to the startup network AngelList. The LPs include Top Tier Capital Partners and Venture Investment Associates. And although Maiden Lane is “not officially part of AngelList,” one of its partners is Kevin Laws, current COO of AngelList.
