VC-backed Delphinus Medical Technologies appoints VP of engineering

Delphinus Medical Technologies, which is backed by Arboretum Ventures and Beringea, has hired Chris Sanders as vice president of engineering. Previously, Sanders worked at Toshiba Medical Research Institute, USA, where he served as director of ultrasound research and development. Delphinus is maker of SoftVue, a whole breast ultrasound system.


Violin Memory names Kevin DeNuccio CEO

Violin Memory‘s board of directors has appointed Kevin A. DeNuccio as president and chief executive officer, effective immediately. He has also been elected to the Violin Memory board of directors. DeNuccio, 54, succeeds Howard A. Bain III, who was serving as interim CEO. Bain will remain chairman of the Violin Memory board of directors.

Violin Memory Adds $35M in Series B

Mountain View, Calif.-based data storage company Violin Memory has raised $35 million in Series B financing. Toshiba America Electronic Components Inc., a subsidiary of Toshiba Corporation, contributed to the round, along with Juniper Networks and other undisclosed investors.
