Seattle-based PushSpring, a provider of mobile app audience data and analytics, has hired Brad Dobbs as director of publisher and platform partnerships. Previously, Dobbs worked at Amazon where he served as manager of mobile games user acquisition. PushSpring’s backers include Trilogy Equity Partners.

Trilogy led the $2.6 mln seed round for Skilljar

Seattle-based Skilljar, a cloud-based learning management system for companies to educate their customers and partners, has raised $2.6 million in seed funding. Trilogy Equity Partners led the round. In addition to the funding, Amy McCullough, a partner at Trilogy, has been added to Skilljar’s board of directors while Chuck Stonecipher, also a partner at Trilogy, has joined the board as an observer.

Seattle-based Remitly Inc, an online remittance service, has secured $12.5 million in Series B funding. DFJ led the round with participation from DN Capital, QED Investors and Trilogy Equity Partners. In conjunction with the funding, William Bryant, a partner at DFJ, has been named to Remitly’s board of directors. According to the company, the capital infusion will be used for personnel hiring, scaling marketing efforts, and service expansion.

Daily deals site Groupon has acquired Pelago, the venture-backed creator of the location-based application Whrrl, the companies announced on their respective blogs. Financial terms of the deal were not released. Pelago’s Whrrl service will be retired at the end of April, the companies said. Pelago was reportedly backed by more than $20 million from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, T-Venture, Trilogy Equity Partners, Bezos Expeditions, DAG, and Reliance Technology Ventures.
