PushSpring picks up $5 mln Series A

Seattle-based PushSpring, a provider of mobile app audience data and analytics, has raised $5 million in Series A funding. Trilogy Equity Partners led the round. In addition to the funding, Cole Brodman, a partner at Trilogy, has been added to PushSpring’s board of directors.


Remitly nets $12.5 mln Series B

Seattle-based Remitly Inc, an online remittance service, has secured $12.5 million in Series B funding. DFJ led the round with participation from DN Capital, QED Investors and Trilogy Equity Partners. In conjunction with the funding, William Bryant, a partner at DFJ, has been named to Remitly’s board of directors. According to the company, the capital infusion will be used for personnel hiring, scaling marketing efforts, and service expansion.

SkyGiraffe fetches $3 mln

Menlo Park, California-based SkyGiraffe, a provider of enterprise mobility solutions, has raised $3 million in Series A funding. Trilogy Equity Partners led the round with participation from previous backer 500 Startups.


Talent marketplace Koru scores $8 mln

Seattle-based talent marketplace Koru has raised $8 million in Series A funding. Maveron led the round with participation from other investors that included participation from City Light Capital, Trilogy Equity Partners, Battery Ventures and First Round.

Microsoft adds Trilogy Equity chair Stanton to board

Software firm Microsoft Corp. has named John W. Stanton to its board of directors. Stanton is the current chairman of Trilogy Equity Partners and Trilogy International Partners. He is the former chairman and CEO of VoiceStream Wireless, which was acquired by Deutsche Telekom and later renamed T-Mobile USA.


Trilogy Equity Partners leads $7 mln round for Jobaline

Jobaline.com has closed $7 million in Series B funding. Trilogy Equity Partners led the round with participation from Madrona Venture Group, Rudy Gadre and Founders Co-op. In addition to the funding, Mikal Thomsen, co-founder and partner at Trilogy Equity Partners, has been added to Jobaline’s board of directors. Jobaline is a mobile and bilingual hourly-jobs marketplace.


Amateur sports platform GameChanger Media picks up $6.8 mln

GameChanger Media has secured $6.8 million in Series B funding. Trilogy Equity Partners led the round with participation from return backers that included Tenfore Holdings and Costanoa Venture Capital. Based in New York CIty, GameChanger Media is a mobile and web platform for amateur sports teams and their fan communities.

Ericsson Acquires BelAir Networks

Ericsson has acquired BelAir Networks, a North American carrier-grade Wi-Fi company. Investors in BelAir Networks include Export Development Canada, Wellington Financial, BDC Venture Capital, Comcast Interactive Capital, McLean Watson, MMV Financial, Panorama Capital, T-Mobile Venture Fund, Trilogy Equity Partners, VenGrowth Capital Partners and Ventures West Management. Groupon Buys Pelago

Daily deals site Groupon has acquired Pelago, the venture-backed creator of the location-based application Whrrl, the companies announced on their respective blogs. Financial terms of the deal were not released. Pelago’s Whrrl service will be retired at the end of April, the companies said. Pelago was reportedly backed by more than $20 million from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, T-Venture, Trilogy Equity Partners, Bezos Expeditions, DAG, and Reliance Technology Ventures.
