ServiceMax pulls in $82 mln Series F

Field service management software provider ServiceMax has raised $82 million in Series F funding. Premji Invest led the round with participation from other investors that included GE Ventures, PTC Inc, Cloud Apps Capital, Emergence Capital Partners, KPCB, Mayfield, Meritech, Adams Street Partners, Crosslink Capital, Questmark Partners, Sozo Ventures and Trinity Ventures.

QVC parent company to buy Zulily for about $2.4 bln

Liberty Interactive Corp, the parent company of QVC, has agreed to acquire Seattle-based Zulily, an ecommerce site that targets moms and their children, for about $2.4 billion. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year. In November 2013, Zulily went public, launching its IPO on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol “ZU.” Its pre-IPO backers were Maveron, August Capital, Trinity Ventures, Meritech Capital Partners and Andreessen Horowitz.

IBM has acquired San Mateo, California-based Compose, a provider of database management solutions for developers. No financial terms were disclosed. According to Crunchbase, Compose’s backers included Trinity Ventures, Data Collective, Lerer Hippeau Ventures, SV Angel and Webb Investment Network.

San Francisco-based RadiumOne, a marketing technology platform for brands and agencies, has raised $54 million in funding. Harmony Partners led the round with participation from Industry Ventures, Adams Street Partners, Crosslink Capital, Trinity Ventures and DFJ Espirit. RBC Capital Markets served as placement agent for the transaction.

Microsoft has acquired BlueStripe Software, the latter announced in a post on its site. No financial terms were disclosed. BlueStripe provides IT operations teams with solutions on monitoring complex application infrastructure. BlueStripe’s backers included Valhalla Partners and Trinity Ventures.

Bessemer leads $30 mln funding of on-demand valet provider ZIRX

ZIRX, a provider of on-demand valet and related car services, said today it has closed its $30 million Series B financing led by Bessemer Venture Partners. Existing investors Norwest Venture Partners and Trinity Ventures also participated in the round. The San Francisco-based company has now raised $36.4 million in total funding, following a $6.4 million Series A round last September. The company has operations in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle and Washington, D.C.

Aryaka picks up $16 mln

Milpitas, California-based Aryaka, a provider of WAN optimization technology, has raised $16 million in funding. Nexus Venture Partners led the round with participation from return backers Trinity Ventures, InterWest Partners, Mohr Davidow Ventures and Presidio Ventures.

Jama Software snags $20 mln

Portland, Oregon-based Jama Software, a computer software company, has secured $20 million in funding. The investors were Updata Partners, Trinity Ventures, Madrona Venture Group and the Oregon Angel Fund. In conjunction with the funding, Jon Seeber of Updata Partners and Tim Porter from Madrona have been appointed to Jama’s board.

According to an amended SEC filing. MaxPoint Interactive has priced its IPO of 6.5 million shares between $10.50 and $12.50 a share. The company plans on listing the stock on the NYSE under the ticker symbol “MXPT.” Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank Securities and Pacific Crest Securities are serving as lead underwriters. MaxPoint Interactive is a digital advertising company that helps brands increase in-store sales. It is backed by Madrona Venture Group and Trinity Ventures.
