Montreal-based Silofit, a network of private fitness spaces, has secured C$1 million in seed funding. Whitecap Venture Partners and Courtside Ventures led the round with participation from NFL player Ndamukong Suh. The capital will be used for expansion, personnel hiring and adding new facilities to its portfolio.
BDC Capital's growth equity group has invested in a family ownership change for Edmonton, Alberta-based Lube City Corp, a provider of quick service oil changes. No financial terms were disclosed.
San Diego-based Founders First Capital Partners, a provider of funding and business acceleration support to service-based small businesses, has secured $100 million in debt funding. The investor was Community Investment Management.
California-based AN2 Therapeutics Inc, a biopharmaceutical company focused on infectious diseases, has raised $12 million in Series A financing. Mountain Group Partners led the round with participation from Adjuvant Capital, Brii Biosciences and BioRock Ventures.
Banyan Security, a provider of cloud-centric secure remote access solutions, has raised $17 million in funding. Shasta Ventures led the round with participation from Unusual Ventures.
Singapore-based GuardRails, a SaaS-based software security provider, has secured $750,000 in seed financing. Cocoon Capital led the round.
Greenville, South Carolina-based Base, a SaaS platform built for executive assistants, has secured $2.6 million in seed funding. Matchstick Ventures led the round with participation from Revolution’s Rise of the Rest Seed Fund, High Alpha Capital and Slack Fund.
Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Immunitas Therapeutics, a single cell genomics-based drug discovery company founded by Longwood Fund, has secured $39 million in Series A financing. Leaps by Bayer and Novartis Venture Fund led the round.
South San Francisco-based Genesis Therapeutics, a biotech company, has raised $4.1 million in seed funding. Andreessen Horowitz led the round with participation from Felicis Ventures.
Decibel, a provider of digital experience intelligence, has closed $17 million in Series B funding. The investors included Draper Esprit and Eight Road Ventures.
