Michael’s Finer Meats, which is backed by Sorenson Capital Partners, has been sold to The Chefs’ Warehouse. Financial terms weren’t announced. Columbus, Ohio-based Michael’s supplies center-of-the-plate meats and seafood to restaurants, country clubs, high-end hotels, caterers and casinos. Michael’s is the leading Midwestern supplier of center-of-the-plate meats and seafood to premium restaurants, country clubs, high-end hotels, caterers and casinos.
The transaction, which closed Aug. 10, will expand the center-of-the-plate product offering of The Chefs’ Warehouse, a premier distributor of specialty food products in the United States, while also extending the company’s geographic reach. The Chefs’ Warehouse services customers in the metropolitan areas of New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Las Vegas and Portland, Ore.
BlackArch was retained by Sorenson Capital to serve as exclusive financial adviser on the sale of Michael’s Finer Meats.
