ThisCLICKS, the mobile technology company that specializes in modern cloud labor management software, today announced it has received $4 million in a first round of Series A funding from the company’s first outside investors:, Greycroft and Arthur Ventures.

ThisCLICKS offers two simple, mobile and smart business software products — When I Work and WageBase, targeted toward businesses with hourly employees. When I Work is a breakthrough mobile-focused platform for businesses to schedule and communicate with their workers. Using integrated technology from mobile phones, text messages, email, and social media, employers can schedule and communicate with employees on this simple, easy-to-use platform.

Last fall, thisCLICKS introduced its second product, WageBase. Like When I Work, WageBase uses mobile technology to track time, attendance and payroll for hourly employees. It is designed to coordinate with When I Work to allow hourly employees to clock in and out of shifts from a mobile device — all the while enforcing scheduled shifts using GPS location.

ThisCLICKS has experienced double digit growth each month over the last 12 months. Today nearly 3,000 companies worldwide — including The UPS Store, Aspen Snowmass, 1-800-GOT-JUNK, and SoundCloud — representing a total of 200,000 employees, are already using When I Work and WageBase, primarily in the US, Canada, UK, Europe and Australia.

“Almost sixty percent of the American workforce is an hourly employee — and many small businesses need a better way to schedule and communicate with those workers,” said thisCLICKS CEO Chad Halvorson. “Most of what has been available is hard-to-learn, time-consuming and clumsy to use — until now. Business software should be easier, smarter, more refined and focused like a laser on the end-user — with just five minutes to get started, not a painful five months. That’s why we’ve introduced When I Work and WageBase for businesses — and it’s already proving a success with everyone from restaurants to healthcare to amusement parks.”

This funding will mean rapid expansion for thisCLICKS. “Thanks to this capital from, Greycroft and Arthur Ventures, thisCLICKS will be able to do so much more — to add employees and examine how we can scale faster, with product development and customer acquisition,” said Halvorson. “We also plan to expand our current offerings, and develop tablet versions of When I Work and WageBase for Android and iPad.”
