Toronto’s Upverter Garners $650K in Seed Funding – Report

Upverter Inc., a company focused on the development of a cloud-engineering platform for hardware design, has obtained C$650,000 in seed-stage funding, according to a report by TechCrunch. The Toronto, Ontario-based Upverter, which was founded in 2010 by engineering students at the University of Waterloo, is backed by a group of angel investors and entrepreneurs, including YouTube founding team member Christina Brodbeck and Xobni co-founder Adam Smith.
