TorreyCove promotes one to VP and hires another as VP

Private equity advisor TorreyCove Capital Partners has promoted Kyson Hawkins to vice president. The company has also named Matthew Coyne as a vice president. Hawkins has been with TorreyCove since 2014. Previously, he worked at Sterling Partners while Coyne recently worked at Pathway Capital Management where he served as a senior associate.

San Diego, Calif.—September 1, 2015—TorreyCove Capital Partners, a non-discretionary specialist advisor focusing exclusively on private equity and real assets, is pleased to announce the promotion of Kyson Hawkins to Vice President and the addition of Matthew Coyne as a Vice President to its team.

Kyson Hawkins has been promoted to the position of Vice President, effective August 1, 2015. Mr. Hawkins joined TorreyCove in 2014, and has over nine years of private equity experience. In his position as Vice President he will lead the identification, due diligence, and selection of private market investments. Prior to joining TorreyCove, Mr. Hawkins spent time at Sterling Partners where he evaluated direct investments of middle-market companies primarily in healthcare, education, and business services. Before that, Mr. Hawkins was a Manager at Macquarie Group where he led the investment due diligence on co-investments, secondary transactions, and global private equity fund commitments.

Matthew Coyne has joined the Firm as a Vice President in the Client Advisory Group. He will assist with advising the Firm’s clients and with strategic planning and special projects. He will also be responsible for due diligence on select private market investments. Mr. Coyne brings over ten years of experience dedicated to private market investing. Prior to joining TorreyCove, Mr. Coyne was a Senior Associate at Pathway Capital Management, LLC where he conducted due diligence on private equity funds, secondaries and co-investments, led post-investment monitoring for numerous funds and was responsible for several of the firm’s client relationships. He previously was as an Investment Analyst with Bank of America Capital where he oversaw the transition of a portfolio of 600 private equity funds from Fleet Bank post-merger.
