TSG Consumer Partners has promoted Margo Hays to managing director of digital strategy. Also, the private equity firm has upped Alec Barnett, Sam Pritzker and James Zelnick to senior vice president and Parker Brown to senior associate.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – January 27, 2022 – TSG Consumer Partners (“TSG”), a leading private equity firm, today announced the promotions of Margo Hays to Managing Director, Digital Strategy (San Francisco), Alec Barnett (New York), Sam Pritzker (New York), and James Zelnick (San Francisco) to Senior Vice President, and Parker Brown to Senior Associate (New York).

Ms. Hays joined the firm in 2016. She joined TSG with 25 years of corporate and ad agency experience and advises TSG partner companies on digital strategy, leads digital transformation projects, builds strategic partnerships, and specializes in designing intuitive, customer-centric digital user experience designs. Ms. Hays also established and oversees the TSG Digital team and the firm’s annual Digital Summit for portfolio companies. She has played an integral role in designing digital user experiences for some of the largest consumer brands globally. Ms. Hays graduated from St. Olaf College with a BA in Studio Art and English Literature.

Mr. Barnett joined TSG in 2016 and has worked with partner companies including Mavis Discount Tire, Pathway Vet Alliance, and PowerStop, in addition to performing due diligence for TSG investments. Before TSG, Mr. Barnett was an investment banker at J.P. Morgan, where he advised consumer products and retail clients on a variety of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, as well as debt and equity financings. Mr. Barnett graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Finance and Public Relations from Syracuse University.

Mr. Pritzker has collaborated with partner companies including HUDA Beauty, Backcountry, Canyon Bicycles, and REVOLUTION Beauty since joining the firm in 2016, and is involved in the due diligence of new investments. Prior to joining TSG, Mr. Pritzker was an investment banker at J.P. Morgan. Mr. Pritzker received a BA in Economics and French with Distinction from Amherst College.

Mr. Zelnick has been a part of TSG since 2018 and has supported partner companies such as The Duckhorn Portfolio, ATI, Scopely, and Hempz, as well as the due diligence of TSG investments. Prior to joining TSG, James worked at FFL Partners, where he invested in middle-market companies across a variety of industries. Prior to FFL, Mr. Zelnick worked at Bain & Company, where he advised clients in the consumer, industrials, and technology industries. Mr. Zelnick graduated from Brigham Young University with a BS and Master’s degree in Accounting.

Mr. Brown joined TSG in 2020 and is involved in the due diligence of new investments and supporting partner companies including ATI, Scopely and Vici. Before joining TSG, Mr. Brown was a consultant at Boston Consulting Group, where he advised consumer retail and ecommerce clients on digital marketing, personalization, and corporate strategy. Mr. Brown received a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
