UBS Wealth Management Americas Names Head of Alternative Investments Business

(Reuters) – UBS Wealth Management Americas has hired Jerry Pascucci from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney to head its alternative investments business.
Pascucci will join UBS (UBSN.VX: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) (UBS.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) on Sept. 7, according to an internal announcement sent to staff on Monday.
In his new role, he will be responsible for directing the alternative investments business, which includes hedge funds, managed futures, private equity and real estate investments.
Pascucci will report to Mike Perry, head of wealth management advice and platforms at UBS.
Pascucci comes from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, a joint venture between Morgan Stanley (MS.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) and Citigroup Inc (C.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz), where he was the chief investment officer for the firm’s alternative investments business.
