PRESS RELEASE

Underscoring its reputation as a top destination for venture capital talent, Valhalla Partners today announced it has hired Danielle Brogan as Controller and promoted Kiran Hebbar to Partner.

Brogan has more than 10 years experience in investment analysis and finance. She formerly served as Assistant Controller at CapitalSource, Inc. and has held positions at Allied Capital and KPMG.  Brogan is a CPA and holds a B.S. degree in Business and Classics from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Valhalla is unique among Venture Firms for the strength of its finance organization. Brogan, as part of the finance staff, participates in advising portfolio companies as well as reporting on fund results and plans.

Along with deepening its finance team, Valhalla today added to the ranks of its existing Partners, rewarding the performance of Kiran Hebbar with a promotion. Hebbar, who will focus on the Internet marketing and digital media fields, brings more than 10 years experience in technology, software development and marketing for companies spanning software, Internet, and technology-enabled services domains. He joined Valhalla as Principal and Kaufmann Fellow in 2006 and has since worked successfully to identify and build innovative consumer technology and digital media companies.

“Valhalla Partners is an opportunity company that puts its people in a position to succeed and rewards high performance,” said Kiran Hebbar. “I am looking forward to advancing my career at Valhalla and capitalizing on the high-growth opportunities posed by innovation in the digital media and Internet marketing sectors.”

Prior to Valhalla Partners, Hebbar served as the Director of Product Management at RichFX, a venture-backed, rich-media applications company targeting online retailers. He orchestrated the conceptualization, development and market launch of RichFX's SaaS (software as a service) platform. Before RichFX, Hebbar was a Product Manager at Siebel Systems where he managed CRM products for high-tech, semiconductor and industrial manufacturing verticals.

He began his career as a software engineer at Bentley Systems, where he led the development team for mechanical CAD software products. Hebbar holds an MBA from the Wharton School, an M.S. from the University of Maryland, and a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the Indian Institute of Technology

“Kiran Hebbar is the first in the third generation of leadership here at Valhalla, an important infusion of superb young talent that ensures the continuity, quality and ongoing vitality of the firm.
