VCJ brings home two writing awards from SIPA

Awards SIPA

Buyouts Insider, publisher of VCJ, took home seven awards from the Specialized Information Publishers Association 41st annual conference last week, including two editorial-writing awards for VCJ.

VCJ Senior Editor Mark Boslet won first place in the category Best Financial/Investing Interpretative or Analytical Reporting for a story posted in October 2016 called “Chinese Cash Floods Into Venture.” The cover story looked at how a lot more Chinese capital is coming to the United States in the form of LP commitments and direct investments, and it how it is having a profound impact on venture capital.

VCJ also took home second-place honors in the same category with a story written by Editor Alastair Goldfisher in August 2016 called “Women.VC: Female VCs match or exceed industry-average returns.” The article looked at the numbers of female venture capitalists and reported on a study that showed their performance is on par with if not better than the industry average.

In addition, VCJ affiliate publication Buyouts won two editorial awards and our marketing team took home three.

That picture you see is of Jim Beecher, our proud president, hauling away our new hardware: seven award plaques.

We look forward to providing our readers more award-winning content and making our boss’ arms hurt from carrying all the accolades.
