(Reuters) – Engineering and design firm Aecom Technology Corp (ACM.N) said it will buy McNeil Technologies Inc from private equity firm Veritas Capital for about $355 million in cash to expand its presence in the U.S. intelligence market.
Aecom said the deal will add to cash earnings per share in fiscal year 2011.
Springfield, Virginia-based McNeil has about 1,500 employees and provides mission-critical services to U.S. federal government clients.
It generated about $245 million in revenue for the 12 months ended Dec. 31, 2009.
Earlier this month, Aecom acquired Tishman Construction Corp for $245 million in cash and stock to expand its global presence in high-margin construction program management business.
Aecom shares closed at $25.22 Wednesday on the New York Stock Exchange. (Reporting by A.Ananthalakshmi in Bangalore; Editing by Maju Samuel)
