BlackArch Partners said Tuesday that that Joanne Verkuilen has joined the firm as Director of Marketing & Digital Strategy. Most recently, Verkuilen was VP of Investor Relations for Conversus Capital.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (September 3, 2013) – BlackArch Partners, an innovative middle-market investment bank offering a full spectrum of advisory services, is pleased to announce that Joanne Verkuilen has joined the firm as Director of Marketing & Digital Strategy.
As a member of the leadership team, Ms. Verkuilen will head all facets of the firm’s client experience and communication, brand strategy, new media initiatives and proprietary market research, working across all BlackArch industry verticals and market segments to develop and implement value-added and client-focused marketing programs.

Ms. Verkuilen has almost twenty years of experience in the financial services industry, beginning her career in the investment banking division at Smith Barney. Most recently, she was Vice President of Investor Relations for Conversus Capital, a publicly traded fund of funds that managed over $2 billion in capital before being sold to HarbourVest Partners. Prior to Conversus, she launched a successful start-up publishing company by utilizing innovative social media campaigns that created high levels of customer engagement. In addition, she created and led the Market & Liquidity Services Group for Sanders Morris Harris Group, which provided a full suite of communications and marketing services for publicly traded companies.
Ms. Verkuilen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Babson College in Wellesley, M.A., where she graduated with high honors. She lives in Charlotte with her husband and two daughters.
